Seems like this virus is a much bigger problem for areas with dense population who are elbow to elbow. NYC has Crowded streets, subways, elevators and lines outside of restaurants. What the hell does that have to do with open space most of the nation enjoys. Harris County Texas has 4.8 million people and four thousand cases vs NY city's 123,000 cases. California is also looking a lot better. It may be crowded there but it's not elbow to elbow. It's bumper to bumper. They got more constant personal space. Most people have more space than people that live in Metropolis and ride ten elevators a day.
Then many of the other areas have outbreaks at nursing home. Maybe that's cause so many foreign nationals working in nursing are from Asia. I'm not saying they are bad people but who couldn't see this coming and why do we need to close down the nation cause a staffing agency sent in workers from a virus hot spot?
It absolutely is. A lot of people treat the US the same as a European country. The US isn't like a European country. Germany has 80 million people, the US had 330 million. The US is more accurately compared to Europe as a whole.
Some areas got hit really hard and some not so much. The northeast is the worst because NYC still has the virus running out of control and infected all the surrounding area.
NYC should stay locked down, maybe past May. Other areas of the country can definitely re-open. Just quarantine NYC and start to re-open the rest of the country as areas get things under control.
