When we moved here from LA I had one teenage son left at home. He never went to church activities in LA because they were boring. Moved here and they were planning a shooting event. We overheard an older kid in the hallway asking if the adult leader thought 100 rounds would be enough? He meant per gun and per person LOL. They were toughby an FBI competitive shooter and my son had a blast, next it was dirt biking time. No more prissy car camping for this crowd. My son loved it and showed up to every activity.
This is fine for now and being close to my mother-in-law, but we won't retire here. Too restrictive and high taxes. Also Icould live without the winters. Everywhere has good and bad so we will just choose after our kids decide where to settle, they are all mobile right now. When I have grandkids that may become the biggest factor.
