Biden already announced he'll select a female candidate, so Big Mike isn't even an option.

It is less to take over and more to try and run him as Obama's 3rd term. If I was making strategy for the Democrats I would pick Michelle Obama too.

The are completely submerged in identity politics at this point. All their candidates sucked. Their only hope is to get Obama voters out again. They best bet on doing that is just relying hard on name recognition. Biden was Obama's VP and Michelle is his wife.

It is just like when the Republicans put up George W. Bush in 2000 based on name recognition, touting him as a return to Reagan. If Biden/Michelle Obama wins it will go just as well too.

Michelle taking over when Biden crashes and burns is just a bonus for them.

Make no mistake - if the Dems see this as a workable plan, they will try it.

They are shameless - they will try anything.

Don't forget the motto of the Party Of Crime:

By Any Means Necessary.

They would run Stacey Abrams or Maxine Waters if they thought that would attract enough POC/"minority" votes to swing the election.

>It's all about "identity politics" for them, attempting to pander to as many minority groups as possible. The "quality" of their candidates is irrelevant.

I disagree with the author that choosing Michelle Obama is the smartest move. Trump was the answer to Obama in 2016. Trump campaigned on dismantling the Obama legacy, and then won on that message. Trump is stronger today than he was in 2016 because he's proven himself. Running a weaker more inexperienced Obama against an even stronger Trump is a stupid move.

The Dems know that Barack would be pulling the strings - that's how they would try to sell Big Mike.
