I say "if he had done the exact opposite you would be asking me the exact same question with some other ridiculous spin."
Then to rub it in I ask them "what do you think he should do next in this situation?"
Standard response is "I don't know, I'm not the president" which is how you identify NPCs (and give a quick "thank God you're not, loser"), or they come up with something concrete and you can hold them to it when the next decision or action is taken.
These people operate entirely on Captain Hindsight 20/20 tactics, so make them make a decision beforehand to show them how stupid they are.
I use the same tactic. The key to talking or debating with a liberal is to make them take a concrete stance, and make them defend their stance. You will also have to constantly call them on in any red herring or straw man that they will inevitably pull as well. So make sure you hold them to the actual argument and not them try to wiggle out of it.
Those NPC losers are hilarious. I just deal with them through ridicule. Facts and logic won't work on them, anyway. After dropping a truth-bomb, just put on a shit-eating grin to show them that you're amused by their dumbassery. Then, drop the conversation.
Their worldview is fundamentally wrong, it's not worth the effort to engage with them seriously. That's the way they are. You can't change them.

The reason Europe and China are seeing a resurgence of Covid-19 is because those countries have kept flights going for the most part.
Japan, and the US are still keeping their flight restrictions up for Europe and China. I dont know what the fuck is going on with S.korea (but my guess is regional travel to and from China)
