The way I read the 2nd Amendment, it's like this:

Because a well regulated militia is necessary for the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

The constitution makes no reference to some supposition that, in order to own guns you have to be part of a well regulated militia. That's bullshit. Basically the founding fathers stated the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed. Period.

All gun control laws and restrictions are unconstitutional.

These people are idiots. How could it possibly mean government regulated when at the time we were fighting against a tyrannical government? The founding fathers wanted the government to have very limited power.

A healthy breakfast, being necessary to the start of a good day, the right of the people to eat bacon and eggs, shall not be infringed.

doesn’t mean I can only eat eggs at breakfast time.

You bring up a great point and during a time of crisis (WW2) the federal government tried to supplant the militia with the national guard, however some more intelligent governors said fuck that we still need our own militias so title 32 authorizes state militias but few have them, they're called state guards formally. Problem is governors don't exercise the right to maintain a militia because there's no money in it and the national guard is essentially a federal force today making up 50% of the Army's combat forces. YET STILL, the militia is actually the people and there's no need for any government entity to activate, organize, or train the militia. Constitutionally the sole purpose of the militia is to protect the people from any and all enemies

Regulated as it’s used in the 2nd amendment is like regulating the air in a Hvac system. You don’t want all the air coming out in one room while others receive none. You cannot have a well regulated militia if the right to own firearms is taken away from one area of your country.

This and also the first part of the sentence is a clarifying statement. It doesn't mean 'only government run militia organizations get weapons' like lefties try to make it mean. It basically means in layman's terms 'because for example we need a group of armed regular civilians in every town and village to show up with their own weapons to protect against larger threats, the right of individual people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed'

Also, the American Revolution was fought during a smallpox epidemic.

Smallpox was a horrific disease. The mortality rate was terrifyingly higher than Wuhan flu, and those who suffered it and survived it were left permanently disfigured.

In 1781 my 5th great grandfather (a free man of Color) walked 120 miles from his home to his service post. That was the 3rd time he had been drafted in the Revolution and as soon as he made it he began helping bury the dead, many from smallpox. He witnessed the surrender of Cornwallis and escorted prisoners on foot in freezing temperatures from Yorktown to Winchester. Once his final task was complete he began his 150 mile walk home, but this time as a free man of Color with no proof, he had to dodge slave traders all the way home.

It wasn't until I learned more about my family history that I realized how grueling life as a Revolutionary War Patriot was. I never considered the journey it took just to get to the fight and the obstacles some of these men faced just to get back home. As a white woman, I was shocked to learn not only of my Black Ancestors, but of the risks they took just so their Children and then eventually I, could live in a free country.

I strongly urge anyone to research their family lineage and look for information about their family's Revolutionary War history. My Vietnam Vet Dad raised me as a Patriot, just as his WWII vet dad did him, but for some reason I had never felt it as deeply as I did when I read about my 5th great grandfather.

Unrelated, but the the thread title just made me realize that Trump won't be eligible to be President during our country's 250 anniversary. Considering how much he loves this country can you imagine the celebration he would order?

He's the only reason the country will make it to 250.

Just look at that painting. Those men were standing across a bridge from the most feared and highly trained military in the world. Those men in red were the best. The sun never set on the British Empire.

Our generations D Day is right now. It is not a fire fight. It is opening your shop, your business and accepting you will get what the CDC calls SARS-CoV-2 the Evil Chinese Wuhan Flu COvid 19.

Mass immigration and the 2nd amendment cannot coexist. Immigrants to America do not understand the second amendment.

Ahhh, the old North Bridge in Concord, Ma.

Concord Hymn BY RALPH WALDO EMERSON

Sung at the Completion of the Battle Monument, July 4, 1837

By the rude bridge that arched the flood, Their flag to April’s breeze unfurled, Here once the embattled farmers stood And fired the shot heard round the world.

The foe long since in silence slept; Alike the conqueror silent sleeps; And Time the ruined bridge has swept Down the dark stream which seaward creeps.

On this green bank, by this soft stream, We set today a votive stone; That memory may their deed redeem, When, like our sires, our sons are gone.

Spirit, that made those heroes dare To die, and leave their children free, Bid Time and Nature gently spare The shaft we raise to them and thee.

Because of the threat of an overreaching government, the people are morally and legally justified to carry on their persons weapons and ammunition without restrictions.

Break it down word by word and this is what the 2nd amendment says. It's just beautiful.
