They have gone after plenty of Republicans. I recall Trump scorching Sessions for indicting a Republican on charges that could be leveled at almost every congressperson--and doing it right before the election. We lost that seat.

Obama weaponized the DOJ and FBI, and nothing has changed. They're still enforcing a two-tiered legal system.
