He’s one of the absolute worst governors in our country and is a Democrat while loves to be a RINO. He also loves attacking and slandering our President too; on top of this, anything DJT says or does, this worthless POS does the absolute opposite; why there is not even one decent Republican to go against him in Maryland baffles me.

The Democrat apparatus controls the state of Maryland. We're lucky to have a Rino.

Even after seeing what damage it causes? An inmate that was just released killed a man within 24 hours and he wants to mimic this sort of thing by opening the gates?

It’s a criminal act at this point.

Especially after seeing that damage. They want us dead.

And this govonor needs to be held accountable for his terrible decision to do this. Resign in disgrace, stay in office and charged as a criminal accomplice, or shot as a tyrant.

Inmates are infected and sick....so your response is to free them? Number one, when the hell did a virus mean get out of jail free? And two, HEALTH AND SAFETY! For public health and safety, letting sick inmates back on the streets is a dumb ass idea. But hey, screw health and safety. Screw the victims and their justice. Screw the public.

I know that the public doesnt want to pay for it. That is not why the public pays for the service of law enforcement and incarceration to begin with. But to let people out who have committed crimes against the public because they are sick, it defeates the purpose of serving justice to victims to begin with. So what is more important? Save money? Serve the public? Keep the public safe? Serve justice to victims? Its sad that those in charge choose answer: Save money. If thats the case, well then lets ask ourselves, why bother with jails and police officers to begin with? Logic would say, protect the community. But if logic is undermined for a political agenda, you end up with a major mess on your hands. And this is going to be a major mess on their hands.

Violent or non violent offenders....to me makes no difference. You are an offender because you made someone out in the public a victim. That victim deserves justice plain and simple. And just because there is a virus going around does not magically mean justice for victims goes away. Sadly, a lot of democrats who eye criminal justice reform thinks so....while they scream about injustice all over the damn place.

I'm sorry, people in jail are already quarantined. I can see not arresting and ticketing non-violent misdemeanors- or not arresting people with non-violent misdemeanor warrants, but letting violent misdemeanors and felonies free, is short-sighted at best and intentional at worst.

Yes they are already quarantined, in a place with a hospital.

HONK

How does this prevent them from getting coronavirus?

Mexicola1976 2 points ago +2 / -0

It doesn't.

That's not 100% true (it's actually 100.00% true)

He just don't want their health care to come out of their budget, after all it is hard to self-deal from the budget if the crappy inmate's medical care has to come out of what he considers his pocket.

That was the reason they let so many out all over the country these past 3 months - just greed. They are trying to get us to pay for everything,

This is a good point. It is harder to steal from the public trough when the trough is empty.

Quarantine them in their cells.

It’s basically non violent inmates due to be released in the next 6 months. Not a big deal.

Gotta make room for the car wash owners and people visiting the beach, anyway.

DeadOverRed [S] 1 point ago +1 / -0

No, it's people with a conviction for what appears on the surface to be non-violent. Any idea how many armed robberies plead down to 'drug possession?' Yeah, a lot.

The people say if government officials are commies, they should be released from their ride in my helicopter.

so they can spread their sickness?

The only legitimate purpose for prisons is to hold people waiting for a speedy and fair trial by their peers.

Everyone else should:

1- work to pay for their damages

2- be executed

Change my mind.
