So a few weeks ago a fellow pede posted an article about how Elon Musk banned zoom for its security issues and potential ownership by a Chinese national. I then saw that NASA also stopped using the app as well.

I told a few guys at work who have kids and when I mentioned the China aspects a tds retard in our breakroom told me to stop talking politics in the breakroom. I told him it was not politics and just a friendly heads up to parents that zoom is not trustworthy. Anyway, dude is a cuck and he is now basically dead to me.

Fast forward to last friday when I got an email from my school district telling me they will no longer be using zoom...

Just thought this was an interesting development and if any other pede parental units with kids or business pedes I highly recommend you call your school district or tell your superiors.

Zoom is confirmed to have issues with ChyNah.

Not just minor ones

Zoom is definitely not secure. But "secure" is subjective in the cyber realm. Google/facebook/microsoft offer a lot of encrypted options, but that requires trusting google/facebook/etc, etc.

As always, the best advice is this: if you have something you truly truly TRULY don't want stolen, keep it off a computer.

I forgot to mention in my post that my school district specifically mentioned that there was a security breach on one of our school's class meeting (not sure if my son's class or another) but I agree with you overall that security online is risky in a lot of areas.

Well that was an issue too, the whole "zoom bomber" thing, as it was called. Random folks could jump into zoom conversations. Pranksters used this to hilarious effect, honesty lol.

But it's no different than being able to email someone a pornographic photo as a prank (which is what a lot of zoom bombers do, plaster a naked photo on the shared screen). The real issue was the BS zoom tried to claim about having good encryption.

Even though zoom made a security update our company is still dropping them. Makes me proud

How can you delete it?

In short, there's nothing wrong with just having the app. It was the fact that China could possibly see/record your zoom conversations.

It's not an issue of malware in the app (as far as I've read). The issue was that Zoom lied about having servers in China. Turns out they did, of course. China doesn't really have laws for respecting cyber privacy. So there's really nothing stopping them from listening or even recording zoom conversations if they are so inclined. The servers belong to them.
