This will be up to the courts and jurisdiction, not to the police.
The communists infiltrated a lot of leadership positions, especially in big cities. The loyalty of the police force will be tested if and when they are used to oppress citizens and enforce obviously authoritarian-tyrannical orders. Or when they side with the government rather than the people in a heated situation.
Maybe read the news lately? Police has been chasing citizens on beaches, issuing fines for attending churches while staying in their cars etc.
I know most here are "support the blue", but you have to understand that they checks are signed by the goons that we detest.

Police will enforce whatever the law is, by and large. That's their job. They're only supportable if the system itself is just. Otherwise, they just become the Stasi.
Hey, I said it in a conditional manner. If the condition is true, well, the argument applies. I am aware that the very police that is our friendly helper in need can quickly turn to be the one bashing your head for bad reasons. That said, it could be only some bad apples which stand out.
And don't think the US cops are vastly different from all cops in the world (not directed at you). Jordan Peterson made this point - everybody can become the guard in the tower of Auschwitz (or gulag, which might be more fitting nowadays). Meaning: Every person has the potential for good and evil, and thinking that we are so fundamentally and categorically different than the people who participate in mass murder one way or another is foolish.
Everybody can contribute to the perpetuation of an authoritarian regime. Be it via entertainment, academia, news media - or just be a soldier, police or bureaucrat. Or just a government cheering bystander or loyal pro-authoritarian voter.
The DC police? The same responding officer precinct from the Seth Rich case? The 95%+ Democrat voting metro area police precinct? The precinct that wouldn’t investigate Comet Ping Pong?
