Hey Jerry, How much did Liberty U get? Just asking because I know there wouldn't be special privileges for Ivy league colleges yet none for conservative christian colleges who BlackFace Northam stuck a middle finger up for daring to keep the campus open for foreign students who had no other place to go. No, there wouldn't be any special treatment like that would there? I'm sure you got at least 10 Million to keep the campus open right?

this post is fake news. columbia hasn't published its 2020-2021 tuition rates yet. that 15.6% increase was how much it increased last year (from 18-19 53k to 19-20 61k). This tweet assumes it will go up by that same amount again. It will not. it could go up higher or lower, but its plain fake to post as fact what is purely speculation.

and on which page of that document is Columbia's 2020-2021 tuition listed?

if they wanted to say columbia increased tuition by 15% this year from last year, that would be correct. but stating that they are increasing it the same rate next year is speculation presented as fact.

I think you are missing the point.

Per the US Treasury..."The CARES Act provides fast and direct economic assistance for American workers and families, small businesses, and preserves jobs for American industries."

How does adding funds to these institutions (some of which are very questionable, i.e. Academy of Art University - $3.79million ) meet that charge. That is the point I believe the writer was trying to make.

Columbia's increase in tuition is inconsequential to the story.

The other dude is right, if you lie about one thing you lose credibility with the rest

its context. the only purpose of those 3 bottom numbers is to paint them as the rich evil bad guys that don't deserve our tax dollars.

its not hard to use correct numbers to make somebody seem a rich evil bad guy. no need to exaggerate or extrapolate. Why not just say their 19-20 tuition is $61k, which was 15% higher than their 18-19 tuition? That would have been correct and still made them seem like greedy jerks.

When you include 1 fake number, all the rest become more suspicious, and motives become suspect. Better to just use real numbers in the first place.
