Thinking that making their job less stressful is more important than 30 million other people losing their jobs
At least you have jobs you fucks
I get it, you have a tough job, and we are thankful for that. You are doing great
That doesn't mean you get to cry every god damn second when someone else wants their lives back and then post Tik Tok dancing videos
WE DID OUR JOB. WE STAYED HOME TO HELP. NOW LET US HAVE OUR JOBS AND LIVES BACK
I’ve been working throughout this entire China virus saga from the start. No I’m not a healthcare worker, either.
My life hasn’t changed in the slightest since all this shit started. Our management gave us a paper to show if we ever got any shit for driving around to and from work. Haven’t been stopped or asked for them once.
The only thing that’s really changed is that I can’t go shopping anywhere unless they sell food or other essential items. Not even sure, at this point, if that even changes anything. Most of these retailers are all adjacent to one another. All the people crowding into Walmart’s that sit next to a bunch of other stores that have been closed down...whats the damn difference?
I think it’s time to start opening the country back up. People can take precautions, wash your hands, wear the masks if you want. Just use common sense when you know illness is prevalent.
Edit: also, come to think of it. Not once did it ever go through my mind that my job was ever more important than anyone else’s. Never in a million years thought to make some lame dancing video cause we needed to change the mood during “these unprecedented times” as it keeps getting called.
I just considered myself lucky that I had a job that I could keep working, knowing a lot of other people lost theirs.
There’s no glory, no fame, no thanks needed. I want everyone to be able to go to work and support their families.
