Dunno, I went into the hospital on it already, and they continued using it there, except that they'd run out of tablets and were using powder dissolved in water (or Ora-Blend, maybe. I didn't ask the pharmacy how they compounded it.) Would have tasted like suck, except that I had lost most of my sense of taste for bitterness by then.
Reports coming out now that Covid has removed the sense of smell from a lot of people (not sure if it's temp or perm) and we all know taste is affected by smell (hence pinching your nose to eat something nasty)
Pretty sure dysgeusia (derangement of taste) and anosmia (absense of smell) are both present; they came on in me at different dates, and I got the smell back a day or so before the taste.
I also think that at least some of the dysgeusia was a side effect of the zinc, and not necessarily related to the COVID.

Then your getting no saturation and the virus is destroying you and bacteria finds itself in an opportune evironment to propagate . The virus seems to be interfering with porphyrin metabolism and possibly removing iron from the hemoglobin. Some docs have said the COVID-19 patients seem to tolerate the low O2 sats better than expected and do better with lots of oxygen and no ventilator. I wonder if these processes are making the sats look a little lower than they actually are.
Also, the zinc allows the body to make more metallothionine, which helps pick up extra iron and decreases oxidative damage from the free iron. Zinc also interferes with virus production inside the cell.
they followed the cocktail. HCQ, Z-Pac, and Zinc supplement. they say the HCA allows the Zinc into the cells, and it is what kills the virus. I'm not a virologist, but thats what I understand. the Z-Pac is for the inevitable secondary bacterial infections...

There is a ton of shit they are not telling the public about the virus.
I've read all the studies. It kills t-cells - no it is not airborne-HIV - but it is a lame, respiratory measles and the virus appears to also be disabled when it takes out a t-cell (unlike HIV or measles). This is why the anti-lupus affects of HCQ are thought to help; it changes the make-up of the adaptive immune response and fewer of the t-cells that SARS-2 can kill are made (there's a shitload of different kinds; they're like spices).
There is a very good chance it attacks the heme of red-blood-cells (like malaria does which is another reason why HCQ is thought to help). Hospital O₂ sensors are not made to detect this. They detect if your lungs are not working correctly which makes the O₂ level in your blood very even and consistent.
The virus will trash heme, trash red-blood-cells, in a localized area which means your O₂ reading will plummet for that reading. Those sensors don't know how to average it out.
It's like trying to read and AC circuit with the meter set to DC mode.
To prove HCQ works they need to do a study on 40k people because only about 0.35% will get severely ill and those are the people it will help. So if you start with 40k then you end up with 280 (140/140).
It is hydroxyl. They just drop the l to make it pronounceable.
It literally is an -OH group. My organic-chem is rusty but I believe that makes it easier for the drug to be filtered out of your system.

I stayed calm... in the end, the doctor understood that we would never stop if he didn't prescribe it... so he did.

My mom was also saved by Hydroxychloriquine (and President Trump).
It was right when Gov Whitmer banned it in Michigan. They let my mom go home, without the drug, and three days later she was back in the hospital. This is right when Trump got it FDA approved, and now the hospital was prescribing it. My mom called home to say goodbye to everyone, but I told her she was now getting a drug to help cure her..... The next day she felt a tiny bit better. And in two more days she starting sounding pretty normal again. After 8 days total, she was back home and clear.

Thanks for sharing OP! I hate how divided people are on whether or not COVID-19 is serious/real. My spouse directly takes care of COVID-19 positive patients, so I know first hand how serious it can be for some patients. From what she tells me, most can get through it with proper care (although many do have to be intubated, so it is serious), but they've had many cases where a patient is fine one second, and the next they are coding and needing to be intubated. Many are becoming very critical with it affecting the lungs and heart both and blood clotting issues. On the flip side from my non-medical perspective, it also doesn't seem like pure doom & gloom/world ending like the Democrat Party & Mainstream media is making it out to be. And clearly we seem to have a treatment that has success. I just wish people could find the middle ground on this issue - realize that this is very real, it's not the flu, take proper precautions, and on the flip side don't freak out and shut everything down while living in fear.

No kidding. This virus is insidious and sometimes your o2 sat will be going down before symptom onset. Then your getting no saturation and the virus is destroying you and bacteria finds itself in an opportune evironment to propagate . Bought a pulse oximeter for my parents and make them check themselves q8. I at least want them to have the heads up if God forbid the worst happens
Pulse ox is a very useful tool. Inexpensive and simple to use.

The virus seems to be interfering with porphyrin metabolism and possibly removing iron from the hemoglobin. Some docs have said the COVID-19 patients seem to tolerate the low O2 sats better than expected and do better with lots of oxygen and no ventilator. I wonder if these processes are making the sats look a little lower than they actually are.
Also, the zinc allows the body to make more metallothionine, which helps pick up extra iron and decreases oxidative damage from the free iron. Zinc also interferes with virus production inside the cell.
they followed the cocktail. HCQ, Z-Pac, and Zinc supplement. they say the HCA allows the Zinc into the cells, and it is what kills the virus. I'm not a virologist, but thats what I understand. the Z-Pac is for the inevitable secondary bacterial infections...

There is a ton of shit they are not telling the public about the virus.
I've read all the studies. It kills t-cells - no it is not airborne-HIV - but it is a lame, respiratory measles and the virus appears to also be disabled when it takes out a t-cell (unlike HIV or measles). This is why the anti-lupus affects of HCQ are thought to help; it changes the make-up of the adaptive immune response and fewer of the t-cells that SARS-2 can kill are made (there's a shitload of different kinds; they're like spices).
There is a very good chance it attacks the heme of red-blood-cells (like malaria does which is another reason why HCQ is thought to help). Hospital O₂ sensors are not made to detect this. They detect if your lungs are not working correctly which makes the O₂ level in your blood very even and consistent.
The virus will trash heme, trash red-blood-cells, in a localized area which means your O₂ reading will plummet for that reading. Those sensors don't know how to average it out.
It's like trying to read and AC circuit with the meter set to DC mode.
To prove HCQ works they need to do a study on 40k people because only about 0.35% will get severely ill and those are the people it will help. So if you start with 40k then you end up with 280 (140/140).

My mom was also saved by Hydroxychloriquine (and President Trump).
It was right when Gov Whitmer banned it in Michigan. They let my mom go home, without the drug, and three days later she was back in the hospital. This is right when Trump got it FDA approved, and now the hospital was prescribing it. My mom called home to say goodbye to everyone, but I told her she was now getting a drug to help cure her..... The next day she felt a tiny bit better. And in two more days she starting sounding pretty normal again. After 8 days total, she was back home and clear.

Thanks for sharing OP! I hate how divided people are on whether or not COVID-19 is serious/real. My spouse directly takes care of COVID-19 positive patients, so I know first hand how serious it can be for some patients. From what she tells me, most can get through it with proper care (although many do have to be intubated, so it is serious), but they've had many cases where a patient is fine one second, and the next they are coding and needing to be intubated. Many are becoming very critical with it affecting the lungs and heart both and blood clotting issues. On the flip side from my non-medical perspective, it also doesn't seem like pure doom & gloom/world ending like the Democrat Party & Mainstream media is making it out to be. And clearly we seem to have a treatment that has success. I just wish people could find the middle ground on this issue - realize that this is very real, it's not the flu, take proper precautions, and on the flip side don't freak out and shut everything down while living in fear.
