that guy says "everyone here has been vaccinated anyway" so is there a vaccination?

sciencebeforegod 24 points ago +26 / -2

That’s what I just wrote. 2+2 is not equaling 4. Something funky is going on. 😡

My bet is on this video being fake. What microphone is picking them up, that can hear both of these guys, constantly moving around the room, at every distance, of the same volume? The guy is across the room to the left and is exactly as audible as he was when he walked off-camera to the right.

I've never heard of Golden State Times, but based on their Twitter presence and their website, I don't see why they should be trusted. They're a clickbait organization.

"TRUST BUT VERIFY"

EDIT: Their website doesn't even have any way to contact them or explain who the fuck they are, AND they registered the domain through a proxy to hide their identity. That's a massive red fucking flag.

You really think a money-grubbing clickbait organization wouldn't easily fabricate this just to get Twitter attention and drive traffic? You can be right-wing and also be a fucking scumbag.

EDIT 2: According to their Twitter post about this, they are claiming it was their own mic.

Very Interesting exchange Caught on (GST HOT MIC) between FAKE NEWS

Since when the fuck is this two-bit no-name operation in the press corps? There's only like a dozen reporters in there, and you're telling me one of them is this rinky-dink clickbait organization with barely even 8,000 Twitter followers?

They don't even have reporters. Go to their website and check - almost all of their "news" is just linking to other, legitimate organizations, and the posts of theirs that are on their own site aren't even signed by an author.

EDIT 3: I found the following contact information on their website.

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, the practices of or your interactions with this Website, please contact us at [email protected]

[email protected]?

Are you fucking kidding me? A fucking gmail account, that doesn't even have a fucking name related to their website? These cheap dumb lazy pricks couldn't even get an email through their own fucking domain?

This organization is 100,000% a fucking scam.

EDIT 4: Additionally, the first exchange, the guy walking into the room and walking by is continuing a conversation with the guy... but isn't even looking at him. He's cruising right by and they're both ignoring each other.

And the way he's prattling off these numbers is laughable. Nobody would be saying those numbers with that exactitude.

That shit is straight from a script someone is reading.

Vaccinated? Did he just say that everyone there has been vaccinated already? What the fuck? We’re being played. Hard. 😡

24
freedommachine 24 points ago +24 / -0

We need to know who said that

12
schism 12 points ago +12 / -0

It sounded like John Roberts called him Doug. It appears to me he works for the White House. I'll bet he referenced the WH staff being "vaccinated" by taking Hydroxychloroquine as a prophylaxis.

If he had been vaccinated why the mask? Was he implying that just the government people had been?

Next up: when the paper is peer-reviewed, somebody points out that it is also detecting 3 other common coronaviruses that have been in the population for years.

How is this not stickied? A potential vaccine that the press already has, and admission by the press that the death rates have been blown completely out of proportion. That's game, set, match, pedes.

7

Pretty sure the guy in the mask is just mocking Roberts a bit.

Interestingly the comments on Youtube have been turned off.

1
FuckChinaRaw 1 point ago +1 / -0

The comments are off because this video is somehow classified as "for kids." It also won't play in the mini player on my phone, just full screen.

6
ThomasGiferson 6 points ago +6 / -0

Do we know who said that?

11
tluther01 11 points ago +11 / -0

john roberts walks in tells dude to take off mask and starts spouting the usc study stats how the mortality rate is way lower than thought..i know that guy was him recognized his voice..but the other guy i dunno

6
ThomasGiferson 6 points ago +6 / -0

Yeah, I thought that might be Roberts. Very familiar voice. I can't tell who it is who says "hoax", though.

7
tombombadil 7 points ago +7 / -0

The guy wearing the mask. He’s just some staffer. All of the staffers in the back during these press briefings wear masks while the press goes maskless. It looked like he was getting things ready for the press folks to come in.

Not sure what to think of:

  • Media stating that it's a hoax.
  • "Vaccinated anyway"?

If these guys have been vaccinated, are we supposed to assume Trump hasn't been?

-3
trumprrruuullleeesss -3 points ago +8 / -11

Look, I believe in Trump and his love of America but I don't believe in this video. This could easily be faked.

10
tluther01 10 points ago +12 / -2

that isnt trump its the media flapping off before the presser starts..the media is basically laughing they know its not as bad as they portray it

4
pastaroni 4 points ago +9 / -5

I don't trust or believe you. Smells like a shill...

1
trumprrruuullleeesss 1 point ago +1 / -0

Okay, I don't believe or trust you either... see how easy that is... i smell something too but it's not a shill... it's what your stepping in... watched that video really close... you can't even see anyone's mouth moving... I'm all for calling out the shit head media for their bullshit but give me something better than a video that obviously can be faked with a simple sound bite...

-1
Light_Of_Day -1 points ago +1 / -2

Not sure why you think it's fake or what evidence you have. Sounds like you're just spewing nonsense. Also, Golden State Times is awesome. I watch every trump rally on their YouTube page. They do a great job.

3
PraiseBeToScience 3 points ago +4 / -1

I mean, I think it's fake too. Both of these guys are picked up by the mics at the same volume even when they're moving across the entire room.

The internet is full of fake bullshit. What do you put the odds at of this being fabricated? Zero? You really think there's literally no possibility that someone would fake this?

Bro you can still support Trump and admit that there's a lot of people who fake shit all the time. That photo about Mike Obama's dick poking out of her dress is fake, but it's mostly just a joke at this point.

-1
Light_Of_Day -1 points ago +1 / -2

Things can definitely be faked. Perhaps it is. My point is saying something is debunked isn't the same as actually debunking it. In fact, that's a typical left wing tactic. Convince people something is fake because "we said so." My additional point is that Golden State Times hasn't previously given me a reason to doubt their veracity. You provide an example of why it could be fake. The previous poster did no such thing. I think it's up in the air at this point. But saying something is fake because you want it to be doesn't make it fake. Same for saying something's true. I'm interested in actual evidence to either point, so we actually find the truth.

1
PraiseBeToScience 1 point ago +3 / -2

Dude look at the source.

GoldenStateTimes.

  1. Nobody has heard of them.

  2. They have almost no Twitter presence.

  3. Their website is a huge clickbait trap.

  4. Their website doesn't even have a way to get in contact with them.

  5. They registered the domain through a proxy specifically to hide their identities.

Literally none of this makes any part of their Mickey Mouse operation look even half legitimate.

What mic picked this up? They are apparently claiming it was their own mic

Very Interesting exchange Caught on (GST HOT MIC) between FAKE NEWS

... but yea these two-bit pricks aren't in the press room, so they're lying about that too. If this was hot-mic'd from the Livestream, there would be hundreds of people verifying this independently.

Don't be a sucker. People can be right-wing and also be massive fucking scumbags just looking to exploit the gullible to turn a buck.

1
Light_Of_Day 1 point ago +2 / -1

I've heard of them. Didn't realize Twitter presence played into whether something is factual or not. Whether they can be contacted is what you make of it. Lots of reasonable people hide their identities for very reasonable reasons. I'm not falling on any sword for Golden State Times. I just don't think saying something is fake "because I said so" is a solid argument. I'd be glad to hear solid reasoning for it being fake or real. Which is kind of the point. Kek.

2
PraiseBeToScience 2 points ago +2 / -0

I've heard of them.

Question: can you name a single person who works for them, by name? Because as near I can tell, all they do is aggregate content from other sites and recycle 'news' stories. Their entire Twitter feed is just recycling 'obvious' news, or linking retweets. Not one single post that I saw is original content EXCEPT for this badly-faked video.

None of the content on their site that isn't a link to some other website (which is barely anything) even has any reporters' names attached. They are ALLLLLL just 'blogposts' written anonymously.

I don't trust Washington Post when they claim 'anonymous sources', why the hell would I believe some no-name Mickey Mouse operation whose ENTIRE OPERATION IS CONDUCTED IN ANONYMITY? They even registered their domain in a way to hide their identities.

Whether they can be contacted is what you make of it. Lots of reasonable people hide their identities for very reasonable reasons

Really? A NEWS organization is hiding their identities? Who are their reporters? Who is writing these posts? How do you know it's not some Ukrainian named Alexi Volostovok or some CCP operative named Wing Jao Ping? A news organization would need to be contacted not just for reasons related to stories and interviews, but for legal reasons as well.

They are even claiming to have their own presence in the White House Press Room... but somehow their identities are secret?

And I was wrong. I did find a contact. They seriously are telling people to direct questions to: [email protected]. They couldn't even get a fucking email domain through their website, or even use a gmail account with the name of their own organization? This is clearly a clickbait scam organization that just churns content for clicks and ad revenue.

Here's my question: why do you trust them? What incredible news did they break that made you think their rinky-dink 8,000 follower organization had credibility? Or are you just trusting them because they link to stories other people wrote that say things you agree with? Because that doesn't make them trustworthy, and in fact, it makes it even more likely that they completely fabricated this just to drive traffic to their site.

There are millions of stupid, gullible people out there. The left doesn't have a monopoly on them. "Be somebody, or be somebody's fool".
