The Democrat primarie was never supposed to end this early. It was needed to last several more months, sending tens of millions to local TV stations in exchange for favorable coverage in the lead-up to the election

Once its clear you cant have 10 Democrat nominees traveling the country, doing all the TV shows, fundraising million of dollars, they had to shut it all down and go with Biden. If Bloomberg cant buy influence and popularity for extra 3 months, why pay staffers? Of course he fires all of them!

LOL! He "promised them employment through November"?

That's a little disingenuous, I mean I'm sure he meant to win the Dem nomination and the election etc. etc. 😂

Fucking up and committing to contract obligations based on dodgy expectations doesn't mean you should be released from those obligations just because the expectations fall through. After all, if us regular people took a loan and expected to be able to pay it off based on the expectation of getting a big raise or a well-paid job soon, we wouldn't be getting out of the loan just because we fail to get that raise or job.

100%, if he signed a contract that says that he owes them.

To me it kind of sounds like they're saying because he was talking about winning the presidency that they took that as a guarantee of employment through November.

In that case it wouldn't really be lying, every politician does that, he meant to win, he just sucks. 😂

He has so much money it doesn't even matter. The only reason he wouldn't keep a promise like that is to be a dick to people.

With luck the class action suit includes punitive damages for fraudulently lying about paying them. Punitive damages are based in part of the net worth of the defendant. :)
