It has come to the point that it is impossible to advocate for policies that have even the remotest chance for success without being called racist by someone. Since he was calling Trump a xenophobic bigot conspicuously close to when Trump initiated the travel ban, it seems likely he is just captain - hindsighting with his support for it now after opposing it when it mattered. If he supported it, he should have said so then when Trump was getting heat from other leftists.
