Amen. My husband and I are retired. While we do practice social distancing, we have gone out more and spent more $ in the last 4 weeks than in the previous 4 months. We live in a Republic and something is very wrong when they arrest us for going outside yet set criminals free so they can go outside. Maybe we could report real crime instead of people being closer than 6 feet.

We seniors know that we are at a higher risk so we'll keep self quarantining, but the young people need to get out and keep the country going.

-11
MURDER_ALL_MARXIST -11 points ago +6 / -17

Exactly. Wear a mask. Wash your hands. This is the way.

24
Mrsattorney 24 points ago +25 / -1

I don't even want to wear a mask. I guess I'm a real rebel.

14
trumpdouble 14 points ago +15 / -1

Saturday when I went to Home depot, I just had to laugh at every 30 something years old big healthy looking men walking around with a mask on their face. Thinking to myself, you big pussy. I'm 56 yrs old and could give a fuck, I ain't walking around scared. Period.

Cyer6 6 points ago +6 / -0

Same here. Walked into a grocery store yesterday and brought a mask with me just in case they were requiring it to enter. Then I saw some employees and guys that looked like me not wearing one. I refuse to wear one.

4
guy1988 4 points ago +4 / -0

Same here. Not gonna wear a mask. Went into a grocery store last week to buy stuff. Had a mask in my pocket if the store required it. Was in the checkout line and Karen behind me tells me to "put on a mask". I told her that I am not going to wear a mask and I know people who have lost their jobs because of the virus but i know no one and know no one who knows anyone who has the virus.

3
Cyer6 3 points ago +3 / -0

I'd tell all the Karens "I refuse to wear my Star of David patch."

I love watching those idiots constantly fiddling with their masks, completely negating any purpose of wearing them.

-8
MURDER_ALL_MARXIST -8 points ago +1 / -9

I just don't understand this retarded logic. Young healthly people need to wear masks to prevent the SPREAD of the virus to old and unhealthy people.

1
trumpdouble 1 point ago +1 / -0

Shouldn't old and unhealthy people be staying at home? If you're worried, stay the fuck home. If you come to the store, do so at your own risk. Don't expect people to wear a mask just because you live in fear.

4
TD_Covfefe_Crusader 4 points ago +4 / -0

We are the unmasked militia.

4
INK10 4 points ago +4 / -0

I don't either, I think they're kind of useless. So you wear a mask, take it off in your car, put it on next time you go into a store. Doesn't do crap.

-20
MURDER_ALL_MARXIST -20 points ago +2 / -22

Bad idea. There's literally no down side to wearing a mask.

18
TrumpSavedWesternCiv 18 points ago +21 / -3

It makes you look like a dumbass and does nothing to protect you

-7
MURDER_ALL_MARXIST -7 points ago +2 / -9

This is beyond stupid fudd lore. Of course wearing a mask protects you.

7
Peashout 7 points ago +7 / -0

Gas mask maybe.

Face masks are to be worn when YOU are sick to stop the spread if germs.

3
TrumpSavedWesternCiv 3 points ago +3 / -0

An N95 mask. A cloth mask does nothing to protect you

2
BucDan 2 points ago +2 / -0

Cloth masks are the dumbess crap I've ever seen. It does nothing to protect you or others.

Your air vapors will still escape through that cloth masks.

People know it's ineffective, but it's all feel good false sense of security bullshit.

As one person stated, an N95 mask protects others, not you. Which means cloth masks don't do anything.

14
Mrsattorney 14 points ago +15 / -1

If you don't mind our society becoming a bunch of drone-like NPC lookalikes whose facial expressions we never see. I'm seeing people wearing masks as they drive around with their windows closed. I see fear, unwarranted fear.

Wearing a mask isn't against civil liberties. If you can't separate those two issues then you can't be helped.

Yeah dying of plague really proves how tough you are.

3
AdAstraPerAspera 3 points ago +4 / -1

A plague that kills no more than the annual flu? Your bar for defining a plague is too low.

-3
MURDER_ALL_MARXIST -3 points ago +1 / -4

It's already killed more than the seasonal flu and were only two months in. Also Trump himself defines it as a plague. Do you disagree with him?

Tell that to all the idiots I see constantly fiddling with their masks. They touch their faces more with the masks on than they would otherwise, which seems like a pretty big downside to me.

MURDER_ALL_MARXIST -3 points ago +1 / -4

I never said it should be required by law I said it's a good idea.

17
DoYouBelieveInMAGA 17 points ago +18 / -1

Nah, I'm good. I've never worn a mask for the flu and I'm not gonna start now because the MSM told me to.

-6
MURDER_ALL_MARXIST -6 points ago +1 / -7

What if GEOTUS told you too?

4
traveravis 4 points ago +5 / -1

Still wouldn't. It ain't up to him

2
DoYouBelieveInMAGA 2 points ago +2 / -0

If he personally told me to? If he actually called me on the phone and informed me I needed to wear a mask, I'd probably wear it just because of the bizarre circumstances.

Otherwise, no, I'm not wearing a mask.

The other day I had to drop off some orphaned opossums at a wildlife center, and my young daughter wanted to come so I brought her along.

Most of the other folks in line had masks on, so as we were driving home she asked: "how do people breathe with the masks on?" I explained how the air molecules are so small that they can pass through the mask fabric, allowing people to breathe, and she responded with "I think if air can pass through the masks, then the virus can too." I told her it's only helpful if you're already sick so you're not blowing saliva all over the place while you cough, and not to say anything to people wearing masks because they're probably scared and it makes them feel better.

She's five. It kind of shows how critical thinking is beaten out of people as they go through public school.

EtheldredaTheUnready 17 points ago +17 / -0

I will! It's not hard to teach her, she's very bright thank God. I can't believe some of the questions she comes up with. Little children are really very smart and observant, and if people took more time to actually speak with them and explain how things work they'd be shocked at how quickly they pick things up and start to make logical links from a very young age.

11
Mrsattorney 11 points ago +11 / -0

Good for your daughter. I keep encountering Karens when I'm out grocery shopping. This has really brought out the fascistic tendencies in some suburban women.

5
TD_Covfefe_Crusader 5 points ago +5 / -0

I have to agree that Democrat women are the most authoritarian of all in my experience. They are loving this shit.

4
Mrsattorney 4 points ago +4 / -0

Yes. I live in the swamp. It's full of them telling us all how to behave. And their cucked spouses walk dutifully behind them, masked.

5
axrevolutionai 5 points ago +5 / -0

Stage actors and comedians often say fooling a child or making it laugh is the hardest challenge there is, and if you can do that, you are good enough for the stage

16
sineater 16 points ago +16 / -0

Yeah. Look at grocery stores. Making aisles one-way yet not limiting the amount of people that can be in the aisle or their pace of movement. Making one opening an entrance only and the other an exit only on doors that only 1 normal sized person can fit through at once. Putting laminated non-antimicrobial folders over the POS machines or requiring people use a bare stylus. Its all the illusion of safety

5
DoYouBelieveInMAGA 5 points ago +5 / -0

Yeah, I quit following the lines in grocery stores. Just LOL. Even if I bought into all this shit, it has just lead to more logjams in the aisles with people crowding together.

It's. All. Just. So. Dumb.

7
DoYouBelieveInMAGA 7 points ago +7 / -0

I'm with you, homie. If I were a super evil billionaire brainstorming on ways to remove rights from America, I'd be pretty damn happy with what I've been seeing.

6
Aquamine-Amarine 6 points ago +7 / -1

Masks don't do shit. As many people have already said, the mask is to protect other people from you if you happen to be sick. It doesn't protect you from other people. Germs are invisible and they're everywhere. You can't protect yourself from them completely. A lot of this is fear mongering. If you have a bad immune system then yes, please stay at home and take extra precaution. But you can't shut down an entire country because of the flu. It's ridiculous.

3
deleted 3 points ago +3 / -0
1
BucDan 1 point ago +1 / -0

Nah, ideally if you're sick, stay the fuck home and have some common sense. No reason for you to be out like any other non beerflu day that you're sick. Youll perform better at 100% anyway. Wear a mask at home to not get others at home sick.

If you don't have the luxury of sick time, I get it. Wear a mask, wash your hands and stay the fuck away from your coworkers if you can.

Not just because of the virus.

Masks screw up facial recognition.

I kind of enjoy being indoors so the "lockdown" never bothered me much, but I haven't let it stop me from going out and doing anything I wanted and will continue to do so. When they started selectively arresting people for going to church and attending planned protests that was the signal that they've taken it too far and it's time to start pushing back.

4
sineater 4 points ago +4 / -0

Have been doing that the whole time. Never trusted this shit for a second

4
DanIsSwell 4 points ago +4 / -0

I’ve been doing what I want, as far as going for walks, and visiting a friends house. But, my jobs are non existent right now, places aren’t open, and public parks and lakes won’t let anyone in. So, doing what “I want” is cut severely.

3
GernBlanston1 3 points ago +3 / -0

I'll be totally honest I have not changed anything I do in my life going and doing the same things. The only thing that has changed is I have to get my BBQ as take out. BBQ Pete's in Kent, Wa. The best BBQ around!

3
axrevolutionai 3 points ago +3 / -0

My wife wants to shop, unfortunately Target closed their fitting rooms and their returns. So you can't try clothes on but you can't exchange them for a different size if you need to.

Cucks! but buying alcohol is fine, because a few alcoholics might die without booze

2
Aquamine-Amarine 2 points ago +2 / -0

I was fucking livid when I heard people call liquor stores essential businesses last week. Are you kidding me?! I don't care if the alcoholic is suffering from withdrawals! Their excuse was that the poor alcoholic might get sick and take hospital beds away from coronavirus patients. Why the hell is this a difficult choice? You always give the bed to a coronavirus patient, it's not their fault they got sick. My father is an alcoholic and I was forced to be quarantined with him. As if my mental health wasn't already dead, you forced me to be stuck with him even more?!

3
RiverFenix 3 points ago +3 / -0

Funny how someone else can define it's an emergency and take away your rights, the same person say you don't have the right to declare an emergency and take measures to preserve your 'rights'.

I don't think they understand what a 'Right' is, and they DO see it as a permission.

You don't need to buy a permit for life, despite their best efforts.

3
Pepega 3 points ago +3 / -0

Never stopped going to the state park that was completely shut down. Just tied my shoes tight and made sure my MTB was good to go just in case the conservation police were really bored. They were fining people $200. Tons of old couples still walking the paths and trails haha

3
VetforTrump 3 points ago +3 / -0

Yes, if you get arrested, go alo g and let them k ow. This will end and you'll be back with a civil rights lawyer and federal civil rights laws to sue them all personally and professionally. The cop, the sergeant supervisor, the captain, the chief, the mayor all of them culpable under vicarious liability laws. They shoved that down our throats when I was a cop and ima shove it back down theirs if they fuck with me.
