Same here. When the Republican primaries started I was in the “it’s a joke camp” and will never forget the apprehension pushing the Trump button in 2016 but man this has been like buying stock in Apple 20 years ago
Same, man! Couldn’t believe I was actually voting for the guy from The Apprentice, and now I’m so glad I did. I’ve been telling everyone I meet to get out and vote for Trump in 2020.
My friend told me about Trump running and all I could think about was the Commifornia gubernatorial recall election in 2003 when you had Gary Coleman, Ahnold Shwarzenhugger and Marey Carey the porn star running for office. It actually annoyed me a little because I thought it was going to turn into a joke. Then I heard the man speak. My last doubt went away when I heard that one beautiful quote "We will no longer surrender our country or its people to the false song of globalism." He instantly became my hero.
I voted for Cruz in the primary. When Trump won the nomination I decided that I could at least say that I voted against the Hildebeest in the general, but I figured we’d be stuck with her. Then on the night of the election, holy shit.
Looking back, it's pretty obvious he was trying to appear as something as a joke in the beginning so the fake news media would give him coverage since they didn't consider him a threat. Any time any other candidate in any party has tried to go against the corrupt political establishment they were silenced and derided, but by the time they realized Trump was a legitimate contender it was too late to silence him they way they did the Ron Paul's and Dennis Kucinich's of previous elections.
I remember praying day in and and day out leading up to the election that he would somehow come out on top of Hillary. Election night was one of anxiety, especially considering the fact that I was in college at the time and the University would only allow CNN and MSNBC on their TVs. It was really a blessing in disguise though because I got to watch the collective new media crap themselves on live TV as Trump began to pull ahead. I stayed up until 4 in the morning waiting to see him come over the threshold in the electoral college. I’ll tell you I had a Cheshire Cat smile for the next week. God gave Trump the strength to pull through in 2016 and I believe 2020 is just going to be more massive. Gotta keep praying for this man!
We'll never see Trump's like again, but Jr. would be close. However, President Trump manages to unleash the Cray Cray in Demokrats in a way no one else can.😂😂. We get entertained 24/7 AND President Trump gets real results for America while the Commies cry.
It's so beautiful to watch!
I remember riding the bus home from work on Election Day listening to power metal believing I was going to heroically vote for a cause that had little hope. When swing states started going for Trump that night, I muttered to my roommate, "We actually might win this."
I was doing GrubHub deliveries at the time. Meghan McCain was on the local talk radio, and she made this big deal when CNN called Florida for Hillary. I thought, CNN does this every time. It was about 5:00 Pacific, so the results from the panhandle hadn’t been counted. What do you know. Always bet against CNN and Meghan McCain.
It's amazing that he became President of the United States. I'm so thankful.

He had me in September 2015 when he told a Dallas rally crowd that he had a concealed carry permit in NY state.
He said lots and lots of other great things at that rally but that line will forever resonate.
I was there, too. It was the first political rally I’ve ever been to. Truly sad I missed the last one when he was here. His rallies are incredible.

Looking back, WikiLeaks exposed the DNC plan to elevate Trump as a Pied Piper candidate https://www.redstate.com/brandon_morse/2016/10/08/leaked-emails-show-trump-tool-used-hillary-campaign-day-one/
Great analogy

What a night to remember.
I was, also, up until after 3am.
I don't know why, but I was convinced he was going to win because I knew how fake the polls and media were.
I also couldn't stop smiling the next day!
Same. I try to enjoy each and every day of his presidency, because in my lifetime we'll probably never have a president this based ever again

Don't bet against McCain's spawn at a pie eating contest. Otherwise, carry on.😁
Totally.
