Legacy media no longer controls the narrative like it once did, thankfully. the internet exposing their lies and bias in real time.

They tried to take over the internet with their net neutrality bullshit. That failed, so now they have taken over social media.

You know damn well that if NN passed, sites like tdwin wouldn't even exist.

We don't have the Cable TV-like pricing plans they warned us about and the internet speeds have gone up 70% instead of getting throttled.

Net neutrality was implemented by Obama's FCC, and the outrage on Reddit when Pai overturned it was astronomical.

I'm in the technology field, and I remember getting flack for stating it's not the end of the world and it will not affect Internet speeds negatively.

In 2018, the average download speed was 25.86 Mbps.

In Q3 of 2015, average connection speeds were 12.6Mbps. Whilst this is a positive for consumers, both peak and average internet speeds in the USA are well outside the global top 10.

Q3 2016 update: Average internet speeds in the USA were 16.3Mbps. Compared to Q4 of 2015, this represents a 14.78% increase.

Q1 2017 update: Average internet speeds in the USA increased to 18.7Mbps in 2017. This represented a +22% increase YoY, according to Akamai data. In Q1 of 2017, the USA enters top 10 average internet speed countries for the first time.

Our nation's Internet speed has more than doubled in 3 years after Trump took over.

Compare that to the first couple years of the Obama Administration-

It said tests conducted by speedmatters.org found the average US download speed had improved by only nine-tenths of a megabit per second between 2008 and 2009 -- from 4.2 mbps to 5.1 mbps.

US President Barack Obama has pledged to put broadband in every home and the FCC has embarked on an ambitious project to bring high-speed Internet access to every corner of the United States.

In reality, the Obama Administration managed to increase internet speed by 1Mbps a year over 8 years.

Full stack dev here, same shit. Tried to explain to all my brainwashed lib co-workers that NN was complete bullshit, got drowned in REEEEE's. They swore up and down that the repeal of Obama's fascist commie death grip regs would be the death kneel of free speech and that prices would skyrocket, because John Oliver said so. These were all people with STEM degrees, mind you.

Indoctrination is a powerful thing.

I've been on the fence regarding NN, and I'm still listening to different arguments about it. Could you give a reason why this site wouldn't exist if it passed?

Doesn’t net neutrality keep sites from being throttled? So that would essentially protect this site right? Not saying it’s a good law, but I don’t think it would hurt this site.

My concern about dropping NN was that it could allow the "woke" crowd to pressure ISP's to block "problematic" websites.

That failed

We were essentially kicked off of reddit and are now on a site that gets cloudflare errors on a regular basis, though...
