I lived and worked near a rez population for years. It was worse than most people could probably imagine. Incest, familial abuse of every kind imaginable, drugs/alcohol/huffing gasoline if you have nothing else on hand, crippling poverty, high levels of mental illness due to trauma...

Many had to travel a great distance to find work if they did work. They were generally very kind, soft-spoken people with a mischievous streak. But you could tell there was some stuff under the surface that they didn't show around the "Anglos".

If there is a people group that really does need help, it's the Natives. But fuck them and give everything to illegal immigrants, I guess.
