Yes the relationship was great & it was working. Don't forget Kim removed all the anti-American art that depicted American soldiers as murderers across the country. That's a big big change. The irrational pentagon never admit that and made everything to restart the war games at the border to break that relationship with Trump. My guess is after these war games restarted (after the Trump visit to NK) the NK Generals didn't like it so they asked for a "Christmas gift" against the US last December. There was no Christmas gift so I assume that Kim Jung Un personally stopped it to keep a good relation with Trump. But that made the NK army angry at Kim. They started to consider he was not defending the nation. Also all this talk against China by using terms like Communism here and everywhere online, that is the foundation of their nation... The intent to break this good relationship by the Pentagon is the most despicable thing I've ever seen. All you have to do is to listen to the stupidity of the Pentagon spokesperson on this subject.
