We've allowed the only weapon against government power to lapse into oblivion at the state and local level.

Most newspapers have went bankrupt. Many of our local newspapers were run by conservative businessmen who were from the area and loved their community. Very few people still take the state papers that aren't cucked and most ingest either globalist or communist propaganda in the form of 24/7 video news.

Look at the state of KY. Our gov. has made no mention of re-opening the economy, all the while implying that we are better off than TN. TN's gov has stated plans to re-open sections of the economy this Friday and wholesale on the 5/1.

This is guaranteed to put Kentucky in a worse economic position than it already was to TN. Imagine how many businesses in TN that did do business with KY won't be able to since so many are closed. That is business that Kentucky will never get back.

What voice do we have? Facebook is filled with libtarded Karen shills for Gov. Beshear. We only have two mainstream papers in the state of KY... the Courier Journal (Louisville) and the Lexington Herald Leader (Lexington), neither is going to hold Beshear accountable. Our state legislature has effectively castrated Beshear (thankfully... especially on voting law), but the 70K teachers in our state who'd sell their soul to the state teacher's union and a $2K annual pay raise are too uninformed to realize what is going on... they are more interested virtual signaling with Beshear, putting green light bulbs in their porch lights.

We have no voice at the state level. We have no place to get a quorum of people who can hold the governor to account. We can't meet in our Church house foyer and discuss these things, we can't meet in bingo halls, gun shows or at the Friday night race at the racetrack.

All we can do is watch GOP gov's lead their state forward through the hoax all around us, while the globalist scum at our helm do everything they can to use FUD to hold us back.

What's the answer out of this fellow Pedes? Our state was already hurting before this happened, we need help, how do we organize to get our state open?

All I can say is you need to connect with similar-minded people. The easiest way is connect with the GOP.

You can start a news organization for next to nothing nowadays. If there is a need, fill it. Look at how James O'Keefe got started. You don't need ink or paper to influence people.

I've actually tried political blogging. It takes a lot of $$$ and good strategic SEO planning to spread something like that and grow it. You can only make money through advertising and considering how most newspapers are failing, how is that a good business model.

The sad truth is that the demand is not there. People don't want to be informed. Otherwise this site would be filled with normies every single day.

With such a defeatist attitude, you might as well go home!

I think you need to shift your thinking. Rather than trying to make money doing political blogging full-time, why not just focus on the people in your immediate vicinity, and don't bother trying to make money at all? You can blog for free. You can share with your friends and neighbors. You can get their emails and send them updates every week with highlights from the news, or blast them when there is some important call to action.

People think that the newspapers mean something, but they don't. More people get their news from YouTube than the TV nowadays. Even Fox News can't compete with part-time YouTubers who spend half their video shilling Patreon and "Please click the subscribe button and ring the bell!"

Imagine that ideas are like a virus. Your job is to spread those ideas that are good, the ideas of freedom, individual responsibility, etc... Even if you just infect one person, those ideas will continue to spread. If you infect two, it will spread twice as rapidly. If you infect ten, then even faster. The goal isn't to get views or to get paid to write, the goal is simply to infect people, and get them to infect others.

That's why memes work. Stupid pictures with just a few words can spread ideas faster than the NYT can. We can have a meme that resonates circle the globe in the time it takes them to tie their shoes.

We're living in a new age. Same ideas, different way to communicate.

I've seen people change things with just the power of email, and they've been doing it for over 20 years now. Just regular people with an opinion. A long time ago these people would've printed signs or handed out flyers. Now they just want to send you email. Think simple, think clearly, identify what your real goals are, and don't let people distract you from them.

well of course you're right. The power of positive thinking, right?

Normally I'm a lot more positive, just experiencing a temporary depression... I'll be back to MAGA'ing soon. Thanks for the ideas.

We're all depressed right now. It's taking everything I have to wake up in the morning and get out of bed.

Just remember that you're connected to people, and every time you say something, people hear it. They may not seem like it, but you're changing lives.

MD in the same boat. We have a RINO as governor. He just issues dictatorial edicts and takes shots at President Trump.

I don't know, but as a fellow Kentuckian, I feel the same way. I was watching Beshear and his doctor pal's daily brainwashing video (where he directs A CHANT) when the protesters disrupted the proceedings. It was glorious. Virtual meetings via zoom or other free software could be a start. Protest planning via FB is now not allowed.

Also, he vetoed the voter ID state law requiring voters to show ID to vote, due to "Corona virus" and the state being shut down. Our only hope is our Secretary of State, I'm hoping he will not cave in to mail in voting. On a side note, I saw a study that says that coronavirus lives on paper for up to three days, just saying.

The state legislature already overrode his veto. No worries there, we have a voter ID law now.

I've read that it must live in respiratory droplets and cold metal surfaces are much more conductive to its survival than organic surfaces.

Oh thank God the legislature over rode the veto! My point with the virus living on paper for up to three days was that if there is virus on the paper either when we received it or we were sick and sent it, that's another way to spread the virus, so mail-in ballots is not a way to keep us safe, not mention ballot harvesting! I'm not saying all of that is going to happen, but just mentioning it as something I think about

Here's the article on web md about different surfaces the virus can live on, about halfway down they talk about paper, I am not really worrying about it, but KY is pushing hard for mail in ballots because of the "spread". https://www.webmd.com/lung/how-long-covid-19-lives-on-surfaces
