The only reason hospitals aren't "fine" is because they are laying off staff and completely empty due to lack of patients. Turns out, most procedures are "elective" anyway. Overrun hospitals with patients stacked in hallways would not be furloughing nursing staff, I'll tell you that.
It's not quite that simple but your model is so much more accurate than the 2 Million dead model that's the point you are making is accurate with a significant but unknown margin of error.
I had someone on /r/politics tell me the death rate was 3-6%. These people are so far gone its almost too frustrating to try to bring them back to reality.
Im just naive and expect them to be rational when challenging their worldview. Hell, i doubt im actually talking to real people half the time, all the responses are so generic and dont address specific points i make.
That may not be accurate nationally. We really don't know. There are at least two strains of Wuhan Whoopsie one on the east coast much deadly than the one on the west coast.
But it is more accurate that 6% or millions will die REEEEEEEEEEING
to be fair, its not like we do nation wide antibody tests on everybody every flu season, so by that metric the flu is likely much lower too. You really have to hold the method of measurement the same, or else you can't compare things accurately. But they don't care about that shit
I've been thinking along the same lines. But I do wonder, is that actually how the flu death rates are measured? I would expect that to be the case, but I don't think I've gone to a Dr for the flu in over 20 years, and I know I'm not alone in this. I suspect the seasonal flu models have to account for more than the relatively few people who go to the Dr and test positive for the flu. We don't have enough data on Corona yet to make any such assumptions even if we wanted to.
Anyways just thinking out loud, and by no means educated on this topic. Unfortunately I can't trust any media sources to answer my question in good faith.
correct, I can't find any record of anybody saying that we have to stay inside forever so that not one single person gets sick.

.14% yesterday.
.06% today.
Narrative falling apart in real time, folks.

Why are you going on r/politics, trying to get a glimpse into Hell?

It’s like nails on a chalkboard talking to them. I had to stop and I love to argue.
Debating is fun. Whats not fun is being gaslit by people who know the truth.

"We've all been vaccinated anyway"? So there is a vaccine available for government workers but not the rest of us?
Oh there's a civilian vaccine on the way, should be here in about a year.
Our immune systems.
