Americans came together during a crisis. They put America and Americans first....the best generation ever that sadly will be missed tremendously. I was a time that you didn't turn to the govt. to take care of you...you worked your ass off to take care of yourself and your family....the same "things" us Trump supporters want today and thankfully we have a president who is fighting for us and the America that we know and love.
Well for one thing. The Population with few exceptions threw their support behind the war effort. A Population United in a common goal is more willing to make sacrifices.
Second of all, people were working and still being paid. As opposed to sitting at home with nothing to do and no paychecks coming in.
