I've thought about making it myself but I really don't think it can be done correctly consistently. Or at least, I probably couldn't. I've been able to order it on Amazon but they have raised the cost by about $7.
I honestly just use 3tbsp of both ascorbic acid and sunflower lecithin with 12 oz distilled water.
Mix using a sonic jewellery cleaning device for about 90 minutes and it’s good. By my calculations, it’s about 5 grams per oz (it reduces slightly), and the recommended upper dose of regular vitamin c is 2,000 mg per day.
I take 1-2 ounces per day. There’s a way to test how encapsulated it is, but I don’t get stomach upset (the most common side effect of large doses) so i figure it works.
I normally only take the 500 mg timed release tablet once a day but with the Virus have been taking twice a day. And yes as someone else said if you feel like you are getting sick take more often throughout the day.
Don't let this illness get to your lungs. If you start feeling sick, get on it right away.
I've got colloidal silver to put drops in my eyes, manuka honey spray for my throat, and xylitol spray for nostrils.
Take lots of zinc, vitamin C, vitamin D. The C should be either slow-release or get sodium ascorbate for getting it into you quick.
I also take Airborne and Emergen-c as a boost.
Raw Apple Cider Vinegar like Braggs is good. You can drink some with water and honey. Don't have it swirling around in your mouth long bcause it's hard on enamel.
If you are at risk of getting it, you can get a prescription for hydroxychloroquine from this site if your doctor can't or won't prescribe it for you:
My doctor recommends Ester-C 1000 mg 3 times daily. The formula is non-acidic, so much easier on your stomach.
Systemic C is another one my doctor recommends, but I find Ester-C just a little easier to find. Source Naturals is a great brand though if you can get it (if you can't find it locally, you can order online from Vitacost).
A lot of people also overlook Vitamin D for immune boosting. 10,000 IU daily. Most humans are vitamin D deficient, so good to take even if you're not shielding a flu.
If when you are especially worried about getting sick, every 4 hours you do a dose that is your "bowel tolerance". Just a tad less than that amount. Taking more won't harm you, but it'll put you in the bathroom for a few minutes. Start with one teaspoon of ascorbic acid.
Several observational studies and clinical trials reported that vitamin D supplementation reduced the risk of influenza, whereas others did not. Evidence supporting the role of vitamin D in reducing risk of COVID-19 includes that the outbreak occurred in winter, a time when 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25(OH)D) concentrations are lowest; that the number of cases in the Southern Hemisphere near the end of summer are low; that vitamin D deficiency has been found to contribute to acute respiratory distress syndrome; and that case-fatality rates increase with age and with chronic disease comorbidity, both of which are associated with lower 25(OH)D concentration.
Its water-soluble too. So if you drink lots of water, the more you piss or sweat, and the more you lose C that way. So exercisers should be taking extra.
I get zinc from canned oysters and they are delicious. A 100g (3.5oz) can has a weeks worth of zinc. You can get too much zinc though so don't exceed a can a week.
(Actually I get zinc from zinc picolinate these days, because its a nootropic, but I still eat the oysters. probably getting too much zinc.)
Even if zinc doesn't help fight off a virus (which is does), most westerners are deficient in it. It does all kinds of good. Scroll down to the table on this page: https://examine.com/supplements/zinc/
Berocca has 67% of your zinc, so yes it is good to be taking. Berroca also has magnesium and all your B vitamins and Vit C so I think its great. Its probably the best thing to take if you were to take only 1 thing.
Personally when I get COVID19 I will be taking zinc and elderberry lozenges to kill it in my throat as much as possible as sars-cov-2 binds to throat ACE2 far more than any SARS1 ever did so the lozenges should be effective. I get my b vitamins from nutritoinal yeast and my zinc from the nootropic source or from oysters because I like them.
But Berrocca is likely the easiest fastest and simplest solution with 99% of the results in 1% the effort so I reocmmend it to anyone who has not already planned for this.
It does! Very strong evidence it will increase testosterone by a small but noticeable amount for people who are deficient (which is majority of people).
I'm not qualified to answer as I've only ever eaten one brand and its John West. I'm sure all are good. I love them with cheddar crackers. Fresh oytsers are great too if you can get them, but canned are way cheaper and easier to buy in bulk or keep in your pantry. If you live near where oysters are farmed then they are super cheap; but 99% of people don't.
A great way to approximate mercury levels is "how far up the food chain is it?". Tuna is at the top and very high in mercury. Sardines are very low. Oysters are too.
edit: you will reach zinc overdose about 20x faster than you will mercury overdose. So eat a 3.5oz/100g can of oysters once a week and you are fine. Eat more than that and you get zinc overdose. Eat 21x cans and you get mercury overdose. I had zinc overdose once and it made my calf muscles twitch. I ate a tonne of tuna once and I had a floater in my eye. The leg cramp went away in a day or two. The floater took 2 years to move to a different part of my eye or disappear.
It was tongue-in-cheek... but I forgot about the concentration of mercury in predators. Good to know. And also about the concept of overdosing on zinc. And also that it's a good idea to have a can of oysters every week.
If you eat a lot of red meat then you can get a fair amount of zinc from that too. 10oz of red meat a day will give you enough zinc. But thats actually a huge amount of red meat in day and not good for you long term (there are 5 things in red meat that will make you die faster if you aren't careful).
Yeah. Just hold 1 tsp in your mouth for 15 seconds. If you have no taste or a delayed taste you’re deficient. If you get a quick bitter taste then you’re not.
There are several studies that show that zinc alone is mildly absorbed in the cell. Chloroquine simply enables that by a factor of 50 X. I am deeply disappointed that these bozos are trying to do everything to not have a solution to the problem by tainting the studies through lack of zinc, late treatment when the treatment should have been well before hospitalization, the inability for doctors to prescribe this combination easily prior to hospitalization, and others. It’s absolutely disgusting what some of these jackasses are doing to hurt all of us.
There are foods that open up the cells. I forgot the chemical that does it but it's found in teas, onions, and other foods and essentially does what hcq does, to allow zinc to be absorbed.
I didn't see the notification, my bad. I heard it on the Michael Savage podcast, he's got a PhD in nutrition and epidimiology. There is a quick writeup on his website:
No worries, I have been eating zinc heavy foods forever, I am very much a careful whole food eater. All whole grain. My idea of occasional junk food is unenriched white flour baked into something. Rogan meats, beans, veggies. The first sign of lwo zinc is losing the ability to taste food. Since Caronageddon I have been adding in an occasional zinc supllement just in case.
Yes. Zelenko's whole protocol is to get the 3 meds into people as soon as they have a symptom. He was giving it to ANY symptomatic patient - while waiting for the test results. (when the tests still took 3 days). My husband and I are high risk (over 65) and live in South Jersey. We need a couple of 24/7 testing centers available - and the ability to get the meds immediately. Doctors are going to have to continue finding their courage.
THE NIH has been doing studies on vitamins, minerals and nutrition for years....here is more information on other nutrients to support your immune system..."Furthermore, supplementation of these have shown positive impact on enhancing immunity in viral infections. Vitamin A and D supplementation have increased the humeral immunity of paediatric patients following influenza vaccination [2]. A high dose Zinc supplementation has shown immune enhancement of patients with torquetenovirus (TTV) [3]. Similarly, Selenium supplementation has shown a positive response after an influenza vaccination challenge [4]. In addition to micronutrients, several herbal and probiotics also have shown effectiveness for treatment and prevention of viral infections [5]. Moreover, several nutraceuticals and probiotics have also shown a supportive role in enhancing immune responses [6,7]."
I looked at the CDC website to see what they planned to do in a pandemic pre-covid. It looks like it's always been just hand washing, social distancing, a vaccine (which they estimate takes 6 months) and to use the antiviral drugs that are currently on the market. I don't see anything about working with doctors to find the best treatment or trying to find a cure from off-label use of a drug, supplement etc.
The CDC and FDA policies do not seem to be compatible with finding a cure for a pandemic or supporting doctors in finding effective treatments and sharing that information. Social distancing until we have a vaccine in 6 months looks like the only plan they have for any pandemic. We should change the CDC and FDA policies to save lives before the next pandemic hits. There may be some good that comes of this disaster if can we do that.
I always take zinc/vitamin c supps with my protein shake that has added collagen peptides. Not only good for my mucles and joints, but good for my immune system! I had no idea my post workout shake has been fighting the chinese virus for over a year!
It's ALL in the zinc. That's why the hydroxychloroquine works. It's a zinc ionophore and turns out to be a really good one. That allows the Zinc to go to work inside the cell.
Can also take Quecetin or Elderberry supplements, or most other berries and even wine is a great zinc ionophore. Point being, is to drive the zinc into the cell.
There might not be enough quinine in modern tonic water for it to work well. Epigallocatechin-gallate in green tea is an ionophore and might be a better alternative. (There are some reports of liver toxicity with green tea extract in high doses. Green tea is safe to drink in usual beverage quantities, though, rather than by the quart.)
Zinc ionophore activity of quercetin and epigallocatechin-gallate: from Hepa 1-6 cells to a liposome model.
I ran out of my elderberry. I moved and my trees are not mature enough to have very many berries, but this year I will have more. I make a winter tonic by canning up the juice and drinking it and other juices throughout the winter. I have black currants too.
Watch this video from medcram starting at 3 1/2 minutes (watch the whole thing if you really want to learn on how the cell works) going into detail on how zinc blocks the virus from replicating (at 6:00) and that the best way to get zinc into the cell is through the use of ionophore like Chloroquine or hydroxychloroquine. The entire video is really instructive, but please don’t yell at me for trying to push a video from YouTube on Folks. I like to think of it as zinc is the ammunition and hydroxychloroquine is in Biden‘s words the “AR14” to get it in the cell. https://youtu.be/U7F1cnWup9M
Does anyone remember many years ago when a throat-lozenge called "Cold-Eeze" first came on the market?
It was sensational, because people swore it was basically the cure to the common cold. I was young, but I remember hearing that the 'secret ingredient' was zinc, and really no other product had it at the time. Interesting stuff!
I started taking Zinc supplements long before the Chinese Virus was a thing because I heard it had a multitude of health benefits for men, not just boosting immunity. A couple of things I noticed was that it made my skin and hair look more healthy. I also felt a little more energetic and felt more focused at work.
And, at the risk of veering into TMI territory, it seems to have increased my libido as well. Most days I wake up with raging morning wood, and I also need less time to recover after sexy time.
As long as we're all sharing, I'd want to share my experiences.
Short version, zinc, vitamin c, vitamin d, garlic, pineapple juice, raw honey and ceylon cinnamon are my suggestions of what worked for me (I'm 62). I had the stuff before they started testing in my state. With the above supplements I reduced it down to a low grade fever.
Longer version. My 83 year old mother had this crap before I got it. She was down for a couple days before I took her to the doctor. She was sure she had the flu but when tested (not kung flu test) she came up negative. Doctors basically said she could come back and pay for more tests but that they had no idea. So back to bed she went and that is when I started her on the garlic, zinc, and vitamin c. Also had her on cranberry and pineapple juices. In two days she was up out of the bed and moving again. Though, it was a full two weeks of that before she was feeling "normal" again. That's about when I started to feel like I was getting the "flu" and started myself on the same things, though added the raw honey and ceylon cinnamon to what I was taking.
Last thing to share, early on (but after I got healed up) another pede had posted in here...
You can't get chloroquine (or hydroxychloroquine) w/out a prescription
However, you CAN get
Quercetin
EGCG (green tea extract)
Zinc
These OTC supplements work the same way, as zinc ionophores (carriers of zinc) into the cytoplasm of the cell. Source is NIH.GOV
I kept these notes in case it made a return on me but so far it hasn't returned. Beyond these, I'd recommend sunshine and exercise (light to heavy, whatever you can stand). Sit in the sun by the window, go for a walk/jog/run in the sun. And lots of fluids (water, cranberry juice, pineapple juice, apple juice) to flush you out and stay hydrated.
Last last thought, the healthier you are going in, the healthier you'll be coming out the other side. Eat well, supplement wisely, stay hydrated, cut out the health thieves (sugar, alcohol, etc.), exercise well, rest well and be well. Expect a good outcome and you'll probably have one.
I urge everybody to look into the carnivore diet. I get around 50mg a day of zinc just by eating a pound of beef or pork.
Ever since I bought a smoker I’ve been living off of smoked briskets, beef chuck. Pulled pork, chicken thighs, and even ground beef meatloaf with a block of cheese inside covered with bacon.
My family is carnivore, too! Dr. Paul Saladino (Carnivore MD) has been posting a lot about nutrition and fighting off the Chinese flu, so a vegan doctor reported him to the medical board. So upsetting that the WHO is pushing vegetable oils and telling people to avoid saturated fat!
I have a pedestrian understanding of all this.. but isn't Zinc the actual virus killer and the other drugs aid in getting the Zinc through the protein coating so it can actually work?
Hydroxychloroquine is a zinc ionophore, and so is Quercetin. Hydroxychloroquine also protects the blood from losing its iron. Everything works better against a virus, if you start early.
If you can’t buy it battleships always use zinc plates to prevent hull rust.
I take 500mg a day and am rounding week two with the Wuflu and it has stayed very mild.
My SO is a healthcare worker on a COVID floor at the hospital. We figured we would get it at some point.
It started for both of us with chest tightness and mild pain in the lower lung lobes bilaterally. Oddly from then on it was a mixture of headaches, dry cough, mild runny nose and fatigue. My SO had GI symptoms and eventually got walking pneumonia high fever. She has a mild immunodeficiency and is on a Zpak for the PNU. Our children got it but it was even harder to notice.
I guess he's saying that you should go to your nearest battleship and take some of its zinc plates off so you can munch on them at home. I mean, makes sense.
Be careful with zinc. Too much can start to be very negative by stripping the copper from your blood production causing anemia. I would suggest no more than 15mg a day to be safe, as well as an avocado or oysters for copper.
Lastly, consider magnesium chloride for heart, digestive and nerve health, and glycine for healthy sleep.
Yes, Zinc boosts red blood cell production, which carry oxygen and are essential to overall health. HCQ helps your body utilize the Zinc more effectively. The result is a massive boost to the reparative functions of your body. This means much of the "disease" we experience every year can be remedied with this combination. That is good news. But should just be the beginning. Once the fear of cold and flu season has subsided, education into better vitamin supplementation will need critical to deal with the vitamin deficiencies that are the root cause of much of our illness.
Lipospheric vit c or look up vitamin c protocol, Vitamin D, A and also zinc as stated all should be taken daily during winter months especially. Also cut back on sugar and eat healthfully. A good diet along with added nutrients helps immensely keeping sickness at bay. And of course helps the body get through and illness as well.

do you have recommendations
Lypospheric vitamin C from LivOn works well for me. I know it's anecdotal but I haven't been sick in years.
You can also make your own with ascorbic acid and lecithin.
That brand is sold out everywhere when I last looked a week ago.
I've thought about making it myself but I really don't think it can be done correctly consistently. Or at least, I probably couldn't. I've been able to order it on Amazon but they have raised the cost by about $7.
There are some good tutorials online.
Here’s one: https://qualityliposomalc.com/process/
I honestly just use 3tbsp of both ascorbic acid and sunflower lecithin with 12 oz distilled water.
Mix using a sonic jewellery cleaning device for about 90 minutes and it’s good. By my calculations, it’s about 5 grams per oz (it reduces slightly), and the recommended upper dose of regular vitamin c is 2,000 mg per day.
I take 1-2 ounces per day. There’s a way to test how encapsulated it is, but I don’t get stomach upset (the most common side effect of large doses) so i figure it works.
Is jewelry cleaner the new fish tank cleaner?
Maybe so. I’m referring to a sonic jewelery cleaning device, not a chemical.
The sonic waves help encapsulate the vitamin in a lipid layer.
Ester-C 24 hr Immune Support - made in USA. Taken it for years and never sick.
will look into. I have been using airborne effervescent tablets lately. Taste is fine, but it has alot of other stuff in it to.
Any side effects from such high doses of vit-C?
I normally only take the 500 mg timed release tablet once a day but with the Virus have been taking twice a day. And yes as someone else said if you feel like you are getting sick take more often throughout the day.
I’ve done 20 grams a day for a week or more, when I knew I was going to be in close contact with very sick people.
thanks!
Don't let this illness get to your lungs. If you start feeling sick, get on it right away.
I've got colloidal silver to put drops in my eyes, manuka honey spray for my throat, and xylitol spray for nostrils.

If you are at risk of getting it, you can get a prescription for hydroxychloroquine from this site if your doctor can't or won't prescribe it for you:

If you want natural cures books let me know.

But when I peel the orange it always gets in my eyes and gives me a boo boo
What do you mean all day? Would you take 500 mg in the morning and at night? more? Less? What do you recommend?
If when you are especially worried about getting sick, every 4 hours you do a dose that is your "bowel tolerance". Just a tad less than that amount. Taking more won't harm you, but it'll put you in the bathroom for a few minutes. Start with one teaspoon of ascorbic acid.

You can test if you are deficient by holding a teaspoon in your mouth for 15 seconds.
How do you test if you're deficient just holding it in your mouth?
I like the look of it, serving size 1 tsp, so highly concentrated. The stuff I got you need 3 dropperfuls
Yeah. Just hold 1 tsp in your mouth for 15 seconds. If you have no taste or a delayed taste you’re deficient. If you get a quick bitter taste then you’re not.
Thanks for sharing the zinc source. Quick question, When purchasing from prlabs, is it really necessary to be a qualified practitioner as stated?
I’m not sure to be honest. I always get mine from a local pharmacy that carries it. Seems odd. I’d say try it and see what happens.
Thanks, turns out Amazon has it.
A lot of people I know started taking zinc supplementation when the virus came. I had already been taking zinc etc for years before though.

In many vitamin combos. For instance, Ocuvite and all those similar things that are supposed to protect against macular degeneration.
Me too. I was taking for legit reasons. And now I can’t get anymore of it lol. Oh well.
Take copper too. You can cause copper deficiency with long term zinc supplements.

So how come you never hear their spokes-doctor speak of it?
Because only a drug can be labeled a cure.
And a drug gets good money.
There are no laws requiring a whitecoat high priest medicine magician to cure you
Even if a cure is known.
Perfectly legal for the FDA to recommend a diet you give to cows to make them fat, docile, and incapable of revolution against beef use.

There are probably better sources.
I started paying attention after two chiropractors "leaped" to their deaths claiming they couldn't afford health care, or something unbelievable.
No way would chiropractors claim that as a reason for suicide.

Awesome, I make a pot of breen tea every morning to start my day.
Tonic water does not have enough quinine to have any effect.
There were early reports that elderberry was inciting cytokines storm. Not sure if true.
I ran out of my elderberry. I moved and my trees are not mature enough to have very many berries, but this year I will have more. I make a winter tonic by canning up the juice and drinking it and other juices throughout the winter. I have black currants too.
So if it works on COVID
Would it work on other things too? What kind of other things?
All the things, for the lungs...for the thing, you know, the thing! Pushups outside?
Any coronavirus/rhinovirus (common cold) or flu
And they’re saying that exercise helps too. Almost as if taking care of yourself is good for your health.
Who would have thought?
And practicing good hygiene!
And obesity doesn't seem to be good for your health.
In spite of the overweight singers and models they parade in front of us, demanding that we praise their beauty.
Zinc... I knew it was good for colds.
The common cold virus is also of the corona type
Wait what. Huh. Cool
Not only that they have been trying to make an immunization for generations. Don't hold your breath
Some are, some are rhinoviruses.
That would be an interesting discovery if zinc was the cure for the Common Cold
Boing!
Zicam
built an empire on it
I started taking Zinc supplements long before the Chinese Virus was a thing because I heard it had a multitude of health benefits for men, not just boosting immunity.
It's suspected it increases "load volume" as well. I've seen 4chan posts about it...
You sure it didnt boost your testosterone?
It may have. I've heard that taking zinc can both lower estrogen levels and boost testosterone levels in men.
That can also cause balding.
Same here. Zinc-ed & added pygeum/saw palmetto/eggs. Whoa!
Sex drive is important to health regardless how you act or don't act on it. Endocrine system regulates the body.
Yeah, umm, definitely TMI.
However, you CAN get
Quercetin EGCG (green tea extract) Zinc These OTC supplements work the same way, as zinc ionophores (carriers of zinc) into the cytoplasm of the cell.
Would like to thank the geniuses here for educating me further on nutrition.
I love you people strongly.
Trump 2020! Reconquer America from sea to shining sea!
Zinc + GNC mega Man virility multivitamin blend. It also helps in... Other ways bros
With your ...calf muscles. Got it!
Your endocrine system is CRITICAL to your health.
And you will be surprised how much it improves!! Cannot overstate this. TRY it.
First sign of low zinc is lack of taste and smell, first sign of Covid is lack of taste and smell....
Hydroxy amplifies zinc effect like 50x
If you can’t buy it battleships always use zinc plates to prevent hull rust. I take 500mg a day and am rounding week two with the Wuflu and it has stayed very mild.
Wait you have the Kungflu and are using zinc to keep it mild? Your battleship comment threw me off for a second
.win didn’t let me put a paragraph after the battleship comment. Yes I am rounding out week two. I have been taking zinc daily.
Can you do a post please on your experience? How is it? Is it hard to breathe, or whats it like? Im glad youre doing well :)
I want to know more too. What’s it been like? How are you doing?
Everyone, go lick a battleship!
Beat flu in 2 days with less zinc dosage.
Breathing in peppermint oil helped a LOT. Rubbing on my hands and breathing in nose and out mouth. Amazing for nausea, cough, lungs.
Probiotics too
Vitamin D3 strengthens your immune system. Many people have a deficiency which is why they get colds and flu.
Would you really want to live in a world without Zinc? "Come back zinc! Ccome baaack!"
Sorry Jimmy.
Without Zinc you would have to accept Bill Gates "honk honk" despotism as "science" or die.
Z ᵢ n ᶜ !
I started taking a zinc vitamin and 2x the daily amount of vitamin C after he mentioned zinc the first time. Made sense, boost my body’s immunity.
NEW STUDY SHOWS HCQ NOT EFFECTIVE .... STUDY DID NOT INCLUDE ZINC
https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2020.04.16.20065920v1.full.pdf
Did they fuck up? Don't they all say use zinc?
HCQ should be used before you need to be hospitalized. Also, ventilators are killing people. Watch this guy:

Trump skips the Zinc. He gets daily dosages of Titanium. It’s good for the testicular fortitude.
Add quercetin or lots of foods that contain it. Quercetin transports the zinc into the cell, where it can get at the virus.
Elderberry is one.
Couldn't I just take One a Day Men's and emergenc and just call it a say?
Yes, Zinc boosts red blood cell production, which carry oxygen and are essential to overall health. HCQ helps your body utilize the Zinc more effectively. The result is a massive boost to the reparative functions of your body. This means much of the "disease" we experience every year can be remedied with this combination. That is good news. But should just be the beginning. Once the fear of cold and flu season has subsided, education into better vitamin supplementation will need critical to deal with the vitamin deficiencies that are the root cause of much of our illness.
Every Cold/Flu season i always take 100mg Zinc and Vitamin C in the AM 1000mg , If I feel something coming on i will take this dose twice a day
Make sure you take it with food as Zinc on a empty stomach will f up your day
Lipospheric vit c or look up vitamin c protocol, Vitamin D, A and also zinc as stated all should be taken daily during winter months especially. Also cut back on sugar and eat healthfully. A good diet along with added nutrients helps immensely keeping sickness at bay. And of course helps the body get through and illness as well.
I take zinc as part of my ZMA bedtime supplement. Not only helps immune system, it also gives you a great nights sleep with really vivid dreams.
but soooooo barfy feeling :(
I will do it for TRUMP
Been taking vitamin C, magnesium, Calcium, and zinc for a solid month now.
