"In any culture where neighbor spies on neighbor, everyone is distrusted, and people clam up, isolating themselves socially as surely as social distancing does, everyone wary of even his friends and relatives."

So maybe that was the point -- create mass dislike and distrust of one's neighbors and there you have it: the "new normal" of de facto social isolation without having to lift a finger, or pay "American Stasi" enforcers! Wow! Perfect! Must have been thought up in Hell. Or the DNCommie Party. Same thing.

OTOH, I was figuring this would happen because of a hack, and THAT would throw cold water on the stupid project. As it is, spread this story far and wide, and that'll be the end result, anyway.

Anybody else find it very disturbing that we Americans have sunk so low? Me? I mind my own business to the point that I can't be bothered to notice what my neighbors' drive, let alone whether they're "behaving" themselves. I've got better things to do than mind your business. Curiosity can kill cats, and get people murdered. Snitches need to be reminded that vengeance can go waaaaaaay beyond stitches in a well-armed society.

Just sayin'.

Creating a low-trust society has been one of their main pillars since forever. They create distrust between races, between sexes, within families, etc etc etc.

That's the end result of identity politics and crafted that way to achieve that result it's not random.

Distrust naturally exists between the races, they create a low-trust society by having diversity. Perhaps white Americans and African-Americans could get along. But no one is happy in a multicultural melting pot.

Here in the Bay Area they’ve finally started building some new houses but they have them almost stacked on top of each other so when you look out your windows, you’re staring right into your neighbors business.

That sounds absolutely terrible. When I look out 100% of my windows all I see is forest. Mmmmmm forest.
