My dad did this. He was terminally ill in November 2016 and dying of pulmonary fibrosis. It was brutal. He was on oxygen and could barely walk from the bed to the bathroom, but he went out that day and went to the polls to cast his vote for Trump. He died before Trump’s inauguration, but at least he was able to see Trump win the election.

There are healthy young people who are just too lazy to vote, and then there are people like your dad. Clearly he understood what the stakes are.
