I understand all of that, I’m just not sure what "number one favorite country status" means. Is it the perception that ”Made in China” is more favorable for companies?
Poor EU countries have been able to get cheap loans and financial aid financed by the richer EU countries to develop their countries.
The richer EU countries benefit from it by having new markets to sell their goods and services or use for cheaper labor.
There is a loss of sovereignty but it has allowed a lot of money to enter those countries which were going nowhere before.
I have mixed feelings about it, but it's not all bad.
They took something that was not bad (trade organization and free movement) then used it to push their bad shit (immigration. Population replacement loss of sovereignty and subjugation to an unelected ruling class)
When you're shopping online, use the store's search bar and type in "made in USA." They monitor keyword searches to see what people are looking for. Above all they want to sell to you, so they want to have what you want to buy. Make a habit of it, as if you're casting a vote.
It's a very specific phrase so it may not match you with product results (yet!), but makes it very clear for the company what you want.
'member when you could go to the store and buy a hammer, or some bolts, and they'd last a lifetime?
I was putting a TV mount on the wall after moving the other day, had this thing for a few years, and one of the bolts just torqued like it was made of Play-Doh and popped the head right off. I looked at the bolt, and then looked back at the mount and right in front of my eyes it said "Made in China".
I had an impact socket split in half about a month ago. It was Chinese crap too and not all that old. My 20 year old and much more used and abused Made in USA Craftsman sockets still work like new.
Whatever the Chinese use to water down their fake steel, it sucks
By US law, every single piece of clothing u put on your body MUST say the country where it’s made in a conspicuous spot on the neck or waist.
I urge everyone to stop buying cheap shit that falls apart & used slave labor in other countries. Made in USA all the way! It’s not easy, but it’s worth it.
I swear it used to be under the product specs on Amazon, but they've since removed it. It's such a pisser because really now you have to search for the "ask questions" to see if anyone's asked where the product is made. Other than that, the only way to find out is to buy it.
I'm urging people to buy USED before buy new Chinese.
When you buy these jeans the sizes are the real measurements. Levi’s sizes are all vanity sizes. Levi’s tell you it’s a 32 but really it’s a 36. Fake Levi’s
We could also regulate that all products made in China or using Chinese materials or components are required to have a big orange WARNING sticker, with an off-putting poison-like logo, that says “Warning: This product was made in China and/or uses Chinese materials/components in its construction and cannot be fully verified as safe for human consumption and/or use due to unknown manufacturing practices by the CCP Government of China. Use this product at your own risk.”
I'm doing the best I can with this. Yesterday I went to buy my kid some glue sticks. Made in China or Made in Mexico were my only options. I bought the Mexico version. Can't win them all but at least I chose the lesser of two evils.
One area where it's super easy to buy American is in the kitchen. Stop using garbage like cheap Teflon pans made by some kid in China. Get some Lodge bare cast iron or carbon steel (both made in TN!) and All Clad stainless pots and pans. Cambro containers to store food in and Ball canning jars. JK Adams rolling pins and cutting boards (or better yet, find a local artisan making them.)
"But they cost too much!" Well, up front, sure. Buy a piece at a time, shop restaurant supply stores and remember these are items your grandkids will fight over.
Theres NO reason we cant have our made in the USA products at chinese prices. Setup factory dorms adjacent to liberal colleges. Exchange room and board to those who wish to work in the factory. Have onsite health clinics for "free" healthcare. It can be their own socialist utopia where they can put their grievance studies degrees to work. While they are sewing my t-shirts.
I think there's a brand called "MADE IN U.S.A." but all of their stuff is made in China. They put tags just like these on their clothing. Be vigilant and watch out for this kind of deception
I recently had to buy some 18AWG wire, and I went with Made in USA stuff (shoutout to Southwire, a company in Georgia). It's worth the extra money to get an American-made product, and it's frankly a better product than the ChiCom crap.
Unfortunately people will forget once life is convenient again, and they will prefer MADE IN CHAI-NUH even though its inferior quality but 1 dollar cheaper.
What's a "number one favorite country status"?
Petro-Dollar
I don’t follow.

bubber gave the chinese nuclear secrets
How did they convince all of Europe to want to be under EU???

My Maytag Stove, Fridge and Dishwasher all have a big fat 'Made In America' stick on the front w/ flag...
My Shovel is 'Made In the USA'
I think I prefer the Made in America one...

Chinesium strikes again...

You are so right. I have a set of Craftsman wrench and sockets that I was given for Christmas in 1966. As you say, they work like new.
Your best bet for tools sometimes is to hit up your local ReStore or flea market.
Make online retailers put where the product was made on the item page.

plz contact Amazon and ask them to add a "made in the USA" search filter

NOBODY will be buying that shit then.
Don't be fooled by tags like "Designed in Texas" shits still made in China.
I'll buy stuff from wherever, Canada, UK, Japan, South America, whatever. But China can eat a bag of dicks.
Buy local, keep money local.
IM DOING MY PART
I'd say that most Americans have no idea how much of what they buy is made in Red China.
This one may surprise even some on this site: Know where Lionel Trains are made?
Yup. China.
Even converse shoes. All American Chuck Taylors, now made in China.
This bothers me because Converse were great. Now they are just glorified slippers. Fuck Nike!
I'm open to an alternative. Chunky New Balance don't fit my feet and aren't my style..
i bought a beer makin kit from made in usa company, now goin to make freedom labels. also got the USA flag caps!!! 'merica
LOVE IT

I've thrown out almost every item in my home made in China!
It already is the most valuable label. It’s just not common
I think there's a brand called "MADE IN U.S.A." but all of their stuff is made in China. They put tags just like these on their clothing. Be vigilant and watch out for this kind of deception
I will absolutely do my best to avoid buying anything made in China. China is asshoe.

Fuck yes!
Aye
For real man we really need it
Unfortunately people will forget once life is convenient again, and they will prefer MADE IN CHAI-NUH even though its inferior quality but 1 dollar cheaper.
Honestly wtf is not made in china, amnd how can we find alts to the stuff we already buy?
The authentic 'Benny Johnson - Made in the USA' label
