Off topic, I had someone (a Dem, hand-wringer) on a lifetime SSI check complaining to me yesterday that their stimulus bonus hadn't been issued yet but those who had filed tax returns got their bonuses already. My answer - ' hey, you never missed a penny of income in all of this unlike the people who lost jobs did. You could have been left out of the stimulus plan completely and not had a valid argument to complain.' Of course, they didn't understand.
The reason they dont care is because it affects whites and asian disproportionately. From cdc:

Was just reading about this myself, when this year is all wrapped up the numbers are going to outweigh deaths from the virus I'll bet, sadly.
But the record will never show that because they'll just be recorded as "presumed positives."
According to a 2011 NIH study, men are 63% more likely to die while in unemployment. Women too but not by that high of a percentage.
Actually the risk was much higher for those under 50 I think
