If someone says we need to stay home, it's a gaurantee that they were working a shit job before and just don't want to go back.

The Democrats pushed money to people via unemployment for a reason - anyone who made less than like $55k/yr is now making the same, or much more, to not work. Imagine having a shit tier $10/hr job and now they're paying you half that plus $2400/mo. Why the FUCK would you go back? You wouldn't. It makes zero financial sense.

Which is what they wanted. Even if things reopened tomorrow, restaurants and bars are going to struggle to staff until July when the $600/week ends.

My wife got laid off and was salaried at $55k/yr. She's now making $4k/month on unemployment, which is more than she was making before. She isn't going to start looking for a new job until June, but she's hoping to get her old one back and would take it tomorrow.

I was very close to being laid off but PPP came through so we're just running at reduced salary...I would have also been making more to get out on unemployment, because my salary went from $75k to $45k, so I'm only making $3000/mo right now. On unemployment it'd be half of $75k plus $600/week, so probably closer to my $75k salary!

Doesn't make sense!!
