Even then, classic Persians being depicted as Muslim is Islamic propaganda. Zoroastrians (Ancient Persian religion) are more like pre-Christ christians.

Ancient Persian was ahead of it's time. It's more like Rome than a caliphate.
Freddie actually was Zoroastrian, or had a legit claim. His parents were Parsis, who were a ethnoreligious group who immigrated from Persia, to the Indian subcontinent, and the Parsis people were, and are very predominately Zoroastrian.
Sure, he grew up in the British Territory of Zanzibar, now Tanzania, but still had a legit claim to being Zoroastrian.
Muslims also say Jesus, Moses, Noah, Abraham, and Adam were Muslims. In fact, Islam says they were all the "first" Muslims, even though they lived years apart. Not sure how you can have 5 First Muslims, that kind of defeats the purpose of the word first.
They also say Abraham built the Kabba or whatever. Even though there is no record of Abraham ever going to Mecca.
So yeah, Islam just takes things and makes them their own. Intellectual theft basically.
