"stupid fact"

pick one word or the other, can't have both

This dumbass doesn't even know what laws are either. No state legislate has passed a law saying people have to stay home or that only 'essential' businesses can only be the ones open. This guy is the definition of 'I repeat what I hear and I do as I'm told'.

They will keep playing the denial game til the end of time, but facts are facts. DEMOCRATS owned slaves, they WERE the slave owners. It was never Southern Republicans, the parties NEVER "switched" and Democrats have always been against civil rights unless they can act like they are for it when they can fool blacks for votes

John F. Kennedy, a Democrat, heavily promoted the Civil Rights movement and I do not believe it was simply a vote grabbing strategy on his part.

He also got a bullet in his head, so take that as you will.

At least he admitted it was a fact.

He probably diddnt mean it like that. Words have no meaning to these people. He said it like he was referring to an opinion.

That exchange keeps getting better.

You’d rather bring up the historical political stances of political parties than address that the same people protesting that they can’t work are the same people who’s grandparents wouldn’t allow a black person to work, the same people who don’t like being told where they can be and where they can’t are the same who told blacks they can’t eat here or live there.

"You can't hold me accountable for the fact that it was my political party, because that's old. But I can hold them accountable for the assumptions I have about their grandparents, because that's currently relevant and not old."

And never mind that he willingly signed up for that party, in the present, while nobody chose their grandparents or had any control over what any of them might have done. That's some of the worst sleight of hand I've seen - from "the same people who's (sic) grandparents" to "the same people."

Where did they even get that from?

It's something they have to believe, so they do. You'll never get them to nail down a point in history where the supposed switch happened. If you challenge them on it they say "somethingsomething southern strategy" and bolt. Problem is the southern strategy was from the mid 60s into the 70s, and the south stayed blue until the 90s. It would also mean that anything democrat from before that, like FDR and The New Deal, was conservative. And uh...no.

In the end, you realize what they're trying to do is make that line zig and zag through history such that their present-day side was always pure and noble, and everything bad was always done by the other side.

The democrats. It’s the same playbook throughout the generations, accuse your opponent of what you are guilty of. It’s based off when a couple of republicans and democrats changed their platforms so the narrative became that the entire parties swapped their policies or something to that nature.
