The cost of living is so high because of the taxes. LMAO!!! And that dope in the first comment is an idiot. BTW most people don't wanna live in the big cities. Most of the people born there never leave because they can never get out. Exactly how the Dems want it. Keep as many people poor and dependent on Gov as possible. That makes it harder for the person to ever better themselves and get out. Also, over 1/3 of the US population lives in the South. "As of 2010, an estimated 114,555,744 people, or thirty seven percent of all U.S. residents, lived in the South, the nation's most populous region."

Boy they try so hard.

Blue cities and states were facing an exodus BEFORE all this bullshit. NY leads the nation in departures.

How fucking stupid can you be to think anyone with even 1/100th of a brain would stay in NYC?

I know there’s a lot of hyperbole floating around the internet right now... but NYC is dead... not dying... not 9/11 type of recovery... but dead.

I'm especially fond of the argument made that they have more money. In Nebraska I would make only $60k but in Washington I make $100k. Nevermind that the median home price in Washington is almost 3x that of Nebraska. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.businessinsider.com/average-home-prices-in-every-state-washington-dc-2019-6%3famp
