Missouri resident here. Love it. Now let's open the fuck back up.

Of course, I live in a county whose executive* is a total dipshit and claims if the state opens back up, we stay in lockdown "indefinitely". You better believe I'll remember next time he's up for re-election.

*Elected position here, sort of like "mayor of the county" in a sense. Except ours wasn't elected by county-wide vote; he got the job because his predecessor was a crook and had to resign.

First, Same Page can go fuck himself with an iron stick.

Also in MO, JeffCo here. I've been watching the STL County bullshit closely as my in-laws and family live there. I saw the "INDEFINITELY" call today and facepalmed. I can't believe that STL is being locked down by that fucking dude. My sister and brother are loving his response because they call Governor Parson a "lame ass" because he didn't shut the entire state down on day one and instead wanted to wait to see what actually happened.

Luckily I've been able to work from home, but I'm ready to get back to the real world. I'm tired of this shit. People need to be able to go about their lives. This "virus" doesn't scare me. If people get it, they get it. The mortality rate is less than 1% at this point. Fucking seriously. People die. It's part of life. We all fucking die. You can't live in fear of death just because you might get sick. You still have lives to live. Fucking hell I hate this whole thing.

By the way, I owe you a beer for having to put up with all the stupid shit that goes on in STLC. I grew up there. I know how fucking stupid some people in that county are.

Thanks! I'm even in North STLC. I like it here overall, just not the politics. Work from home too, so am not terribly affected, but at the same time am really concerned for the overall condition of things here in "North County" if the small businesses can't open up soon. The thing that gets me is that this current crop of leaders was elected riding the wave of support following the Ferguson protests, and their actions now are specifically harming this area. Maybe even more so than wealthier parts of the county.

Oh fuck... I am so sorry to hear you're in the NoCo area... It's gone to shit fast the past few years. My wife's grandmother lives up there and it was always so beautiful to go to, not so much anymore. When Wesley Bell was running basically unopposed in 2018, I knew shit was going to get worse. People like him, and Kim Gardner are not helping the city. They're just trying to appease the SJW's and line their own pockets.
