It's a good thing. Kids will be home schooled and learning from their parents instead of being indoctrinated.

Realistically that probably is the best choice, all things considered. The kids wouldn't benefit from any education in the remaining few weeks of school.

The kids/schools/parents are going to need to make the lost time up tho, cannot simply shuffle the kids along to next grade or graduations, still gotta perform the works, gain the knowledge.

But these last few weeks are gone already, by the time it was ready to open summer would arrive. I guess they could just run a summer school semester tho, that ought to be up to each community/school.

We did the same thing and I would say its a good call for this year. It would be just over a month of school. It does suck but our school district is going to "return" some of our tax money. Hahahaha I will believe that when i see it.

If it were only November I'd get being mad, but they only had May left to go. Not worth gearing everything up at this point.

Schools are socialist indoctrination camps. The entire structure of schools was based on the Prussian model where they tried to turn independent, self-reliant individuals into cogs in a machine.

Home school.

Teach your kids to be humans.

Kids learn from their parents.

Is it really much of a loss? What exactly are they learning at school anyway?

Henry McMaster, Republican Governor of South Carolina.... Did a bit of campaigning for GEOTUS. I believe he was endorsed by GEOTUS.

McMaster seems like a RINO to me, yet I did vote for him.

We've started to see a few signs of things opening up in SC. They lifted the 'no-burn' ban, which banned any sort of fire. They started allowing people to use boat ramps to go fishing (how lame; you had to be underway (driving the boat) the entire time, or anchored and actively fishing)

Looks like they're getting ready to open up craft stores (Hobby Lobby). The trend is obviously good.

And now you're closing schools the rest of the year? What the fuck are these kids gonna do? Most kids have been logging in to their accounts, doing the bare minimum, and treating it like an early summer break.

Younger elementary kids (K-2) don't use tablets or laptops, so they got some stupid 'packets' of basic work (draw X lines to create squares, draw hour and minute hands on a clock to tell time, write a few sentences each day, etc.)

So not only are they killing our economy for the #ChineseVirus, they're dumbing down our kids (more than usual)
