This is what happens when lefty politicians and the MSM (the enemy of the people) gaslight millions of people who lack mental sturdiness non-stop.
It used to be, you could generally trust the media in this country. Sure, they might push a little bit of an agenda. But they would never tell giant lies for the sole purpose of destroying the economy in order to steal a presidential election. That kind of thing only happens in Nazi Germany (they were told).
But you can't trust the media anymore. It's hard for honest people to understand that, because they're honest, and they would never lie like that. So they freak out on people, because the thought never crosses their mind that the media would lie.
We can't trust many of our institutions anymore. They've been infiltrated and corrupted by commies, globalists, and the mentally ill. The question is, how do we take them back?
Most people are simple (moron peasants). There's nothing wrong with that; they can be phenomenally emotionally intelligent and be diligent hard workers and homemakers, loving fathers and mothers. But they are easy targets.
Standing on dead bodies as moral high ground is not good optics.

I've been thinking about responding to some of her posts lately, but it'd just fall on deaf ears at this point. Also, she does seem to be coming unraveled emotionally, and I don't feel like dealing with the fallout from really setting her off.
Break her fickle ass. Everyone needs to hit bottom. I do it to those people in my life with Bear Grylis posts. Fuck them if they think we should live our lives confined to their fears.
This is the way.
She has no idea what to do with her stress and emotions. Ranting solves nothing. She needs a safe relationship in which she can acknowledge her insecurities, be comforted in her vulnerability, and let go of the fear. She cannot make her fear go away. Instead she attempts to bury her heart by controlling others. Anger feels more powerful than fear. You are compassionate to refrain from engaging.

Imagine living through 50+ flu seasons, most of which had death tolls higher than COVID will reach and thinking you need willingly accept having your life destroyed and give government unlimited power because they came up with a new name for the flu.
I can sympathize, after I lost my Dad last spring, there was a moment where I looked around with horror at how life just kept going, even though I and my family were so utterly devastated. How can they just go on like it's nothing?
But the simple fact is, it was my loss, not theirs, and it's not rational to expect others to interrupt their lives because some (great) man they never even met died. It was my life ripped up and my heart broken, not theirs. They have their own burdens, and it's not right to place mine on their shoulders.
She is probably someone who is afraid to step beyond her front door.
I'm so sorry this is happening to her.
