I agree with this logic. However, they will just do like Governor Whitler and close off more parts of Target and Walmart. The real answer is to open everything else back up.
Force them to go full Michigan if they don't open up. The more pissed off people, the better.
Now this is the question which should be getting asked far more. Walmart is probably raking in twice as much as they usually do while main street small business goes broke.
If I were a small business owner I'd have made sure my store was stocked with disinfectant and some amount of groceries despite my main business. Have a corner in your clothing store selling cured sausage, bread and bottles of bleach and paper towel and stay the fuck open.

If I was a police chief or sheriff, I wouldn't enforce any of these CV related restrictions. They have no legal ground for which to take any action and they are risking huge lawsuits that could break their coffers. Some of these small towns and counties just don't have the $$$ to deal with expensive lawsuits. Even larger cities and counties just don't have the extra funding to fight that many lawsuits. The smart thing for them to do is just enforce the laws that are on the books and keep the peace.

Our stores were allowed to stay open, the little boutique I bought a shirt in last week usually has one customer at a time and they sanitize after each one. Glad I am in a saner state
