This virus derailed those plans, which have resorted to Governors asking their Senators to sponsor legislation to bailout State & Local governments for their years & years of budget mismanagement.

More than a few states are walking dead right now. Unfunded public employee pension liabilities exceed any possible revenue projections. Most of these impossible union contracts were negotiated by Dem politicians in exchange for votes. Liberal judges have uniformly rejected attempts to renegotiate the burden.
Well they'll have to raise taxes in their own state then.
This CV thing has just become a freaking clearinghouse for leftist ideas and panic. It's like we've got a stew going and the Dems just keep bringing over plates of shit to see if we'll let them throw it in.

If the public pensions had to play by the same rules the private did, they would be dead already. If a private pension/fund did what the public funds are allowed to do, the managers would all be in jail.
