My state doesn't have an immigrant problem. It's more a white trash welfare problem paired with a glut of bureaucratic bloat. There's a bunch of administrators getting paid 6 figures to run out schools at the highest cost per pupil. But they have no clue what they're doing. Then there's probably more leaches than any other state. After having an extremely high tax burdens, our roads are a mess and our state colleges are wildly underfunded. Everyone I know, including hardcore Democrats, agree. Guess that state? Some sort of bankruptcy would force their hands to address that. But it would take a decade to be right back at square one.
