I don't think people should be encouraged to vote, other than teaching government in high school civics. If you don't understand how important it is to vote, then you are the last person who should be voting.
Voting should be something given to land-owners. And one per family like the good ol days. If you're in the military you may vote as well.

Liberal examples of people who voter ID would disenfranchise be like: "I know a trans woman who has to take 11 bus transfers to get to the polling place, and it takes 24 hours one way, but she has to work 24 hours a day, and has to pay the baby sitter $100 a day to watch her kids, but her work only pays her $99 a day, and she can't skip work to get the ID because she doesn't get PTO, so she can't even leave the house to vote, it's such a social burden!"
If that persons life is that fucked up because of their own bad life choices and decisions, I don’t want them voting. I would also say I don’t want the mentally ill voting. That would knock out at least half the country. 😞
