I’m really concerned about tencent getting their disgusting fingers in video game companies too. I don’t watch game streams anymore, but the dude who was in charge of diablo 2 and his wife stream sometimes and I’ve hopped in their channel a few times. I mentioned something about tencent buying “small” portions of those companies and asked him if he felt it would eventually lead to CCP influence in development. He said it wouldn’t happen since they don’t really own enough. I don’t believe it for a second. Look at activision-blizzard with diablo 3 and diablo inferno with pay to win and cell phone stuff. Next you’ll see communism friendly stuff added into companies they own parts of, and with young, easily influenced kids playing games... it is nothing but bad.

blizzard fell a while ago, and that diablo phone shit fell flat, can't imagine anyone actually playing it

Yeah they fell a while ago for sure. That cell phone stuff will flop here in America for sure. From what I’ve heard less Chinese have computers but most have phones, so it’s just targeting a huge population there. Plus aparently pay to win is a sign of pride to those idiots lol. It’s similar to my company, America is on standby since our country is pretty well saturated and sales are not crazy. So now East Asia is their new target market in the developing nations, because well, if they don’t do it someone else will take the easy money. It really sucks blizzard turned into what it did, but I both get it and hate it.

the pay to win shit is ridiculous, im patient, cheap and lazy, so I don't bother, but I have been in some game groups that dole out so much cash into a game they actually get perks from the developers and look down on the rest of us. I stick to non competitive groups now. How that shit can be prideful is confusing to me, like "bruh my clan came in top 10 in battles and I only spent $200" ok cool, your money your choice but that's nothing to brag about.

I feel like gaming companies going that route deserve everything they get. Younger generation is getting fed up with their shit and companies that cave to social justice warriors influencing their decisions. I lost a lot of respect towards the game "Cyberpunk 2077" when they changed a video cut scene where a tranny had a dick bulge just because that community complained about it. But things like that allow people to support what they want. "Vote with your $", if you will. Hopefully what I tried to convey made sense
