It's amazing how one's ideology affects one's decision making. Anderson clearly believes a top down approach is best whereas the Mayor believes a bottom up approach is better. This same argument applies for every industry. Leftists will argue a centralized government approach is better than private industry because the people "own" the government so it is somehow more compassionate, caring, thoughtful, considerate, generous, beyond corruption ... every other positive virtue you can imagine but in their arrogance assume private owners are not and assume they can do better while also being completely oblivious to the fact they are destroying wealth, not creating it. The road to communism begins with this line of thinking.
