Quarantine=Thousands upon thousands get sick at slower pace, a longer pandemic
Don't quarantine= Thousands upon thousands get sick quickly, a shorter crazier pandemic
quarantining and testing is not a solution to the virus, it's to protect out medical system from overload and let them make more tik tok videos.
It's a fucking virus, pretending that the government is gonna use laws to stop a pandemic virus from infecting large sums of the populations is stupid. If the government had real solutions then why wouldn't they apply them to flu or any other virus.
Like unless there is a vaccine within a year, we are all gonna get covid19 or its mutation at some point. It's just gonna be another beatable illness your body endures. Just stay away from grandma and grandpa
This was the reason for the initial 15 days to slow the spread.
If the pandemic happens too quickly and too many people get sick, the medical system is overwhelmed, and more people will die because we can't treat them all.
But we also don't want to over-mitigate because then not only do we destroy ourselves economically but the virus also spreads out over such a long period that it doesn't really go away.
We need a balance between getting this over with quickly, but not so quickly that we can't handle it. We are well past the peak and most hospitals are more than geared up for a surge in cases (many of them are empty...). End the lockdown now, we achieved the goal of it.
So it's like gun laws, then.
The crisis is that we have sacrificed our freedom, livelihood, and economy for the flu.
