American history before 2020: sacrifice lives to secure & defend freedom

American history in 2020: sacrifice freedom to save lives

Carry_Your_Name 35 points ago +35 / -0

Save or enslave lives? All the guidelines only ruin normal lives if you had one. If watching netflix and playing video games is all you do, then you didn't have one to be ruined.

Plus you got $1200 of freshly printed free money to go spend on weed.

Carry_Your_Name 10 points ago +10 / -0

Yeah, I can picture the ear to ear grin on Andrew Young's face. He was straight up ignored throughout the rat race, and yet we all get a taste of his agenda.

Freedom is Slavery.

That phrase won't be around in 2050, you know, once Newspeak is fully rolled out and Oldspeak is a thing of the past. It's looking ungoodminus.

We have always been allies with East Asia.

That gives me the creeps.

2
stratocaster_patriot 2 points ago +2 / -0

This is why I'm so frightened whenever I hear "the new normal". Fuck that.

In my experience you can ask anyone against Trump to provide a single piece of evidence for anything they believe and they can't. Oh well I can't Google it for you right now but it's true and you know it. Then they're done and believe they won a debate. THe idea that any of them now understand virology or economics or government is laughable.

Around 60,000 young people die every year from drug overdoses but Democrats object to almost any border enforcement laws. Someone needs to tell Democrats again to there faces that Meth and Heroin come primarily from Mexico.

14
Realist79 14 points ago +15 / -1

To put that in perspective around 58,000 US soldiers died in the entire 10 years of the Vietnam War,

7
Isolated_Patriot 7 points ago +7 / -0

I remember when DJT brought up that stat, and the 'fact checkers' were tripping over themselves in the rush to disprove it, only they couldn't, so they resorted to BS like "It's only a tiny bit more people dying per yer than the entire Vietnam war, it's not as significant as he makes it sound!"

19
The_Peter 19 points ago +19 / -0

The fact of the matter is that no one has been able to do any accurate predictions while at the same time demanding that we listen to "science" just goes to show that "science" has become a political tool.

Furthermore, no one has dared to do a cost/benefit analysis to determine just how many lives we're willing to risk before we open the economy. They don't want anything set in stone because it's easier to move the goalposts when all of their exaggerated predictions fail to materialize.

All I'll say is there's too many people making decisions that are placing emotion ahead of reason when it comes to coronavirus.

8
CuomoisaMassMurderer 8 points ago +8 / -0

I wonder what the legality of making decisions really is? I thought We the People were the ultimate power in the US. That the only legitimacy our government has is the consent of the governed. Something about the government being of the people, by the people, and for the people. I think We the People are entirely left out, except to become serfs. Why haven't we yet physically removed from Office our Governors who are mass murderers? citizen's arrest is perfectly legal if we're stopping a felony. Not many Governors are innocent of that. Maybe 10?

4
The_Peter 4 points ago +4 / -0

That's what I wonder too. Civics education has clearly failed us and the lack of clear though on the legitimate function of government that we're seeing now is the consequence. I put together a link buffet: https://thedonald.win/p/FMlgk2Bt/do-you-want-to-become-the-united/

I think 5-7 will be interesting to you.

Too many people making decisions that are placing emotion ahead of reason in general, brother.

Do you know in many countries they've stopped cancer screenings? I'm not talking just for a week. I'm talking about months and months of no cancer screenings......

That's just testing for cancer. I'm not even talking about all the other testing they've stopped.

606,880 Americans died of cancer last year...... Many of them would have gotten some treatment. How many people are going to die of cancer this year because they could not get treatment early?

pizzzzaaaa 5 points ago +5 / -0

This needs to be mentioned more often. People bring up economic suicides, but there are many other things like this which are a bit less obvious until you start digging into it.

2
RiverFenix 2 points ago +2 / -0

This shutdown exponentially increases human suffering in many arenas...

This is and always has been 'their goal'..

increased suffering is something they thrive on - like emotional vampires.

Going back to work, having fun, being happy... These are things they are opposed to deep down in their heart and soul.

Republican States aren't open for business, and election fraud is rapidly changing these States. Civil War doesn't really fix anything, but here's what would: physical removal of all Governors repeating Cuomo's mistake of denying medicine to the sick. They're mass murderers, and need to stand trial for it. You can tell if your Governor is a mass murderer by looking at the number of people recovered in your State compared to dead and total cases. It's obvious when Trump pills aren't being given to people, even though the Governor hasn't officially declared that as policy.

Governors get due process which gives us time to also charge them with their every other act of tyranny. People get medicine, this crisis is brought under control, people are back to work in about a week. Should've happened already, by Governors not being mass murderers.

The only legitimacy any government ever had on this continent was the consent of the governed. Do we consent to THIS?

King George never engaged in this much tyranny.

TX is our main battleground. We need all the pedes there we can get! Just not in Congressional districts that have already flipped blue. I don't know how much hotter it is than SC. SE is going to be muggy, (maybe super close to the coast is drier?) N & NW you get to "dry heat," which is a strange experience for those of us who grew up east coast. Speaking of which those in AZ say it's the best State, and their Governor is certainly acting more sane than anything I've seen out of any of the others.

I predict a boom in the Dakotas. We need you in TX though.

Moved from NY to Charleston myself. Charleston county itself is Blue. It is a fairly healthy mix though, I'd say roughly 50/50 depending on where you are. Mount Pleasant is becomming more similar to Northern suburbs. Its a great spot depending on where you are and what you're after. There are definitely places that are more Republican though.

Yep, its a great spot. Just do some recon where you are moving, get a feel for it. There are a lot of HOAs around here if you are planning on living outside the city, I'd personally try and avoid them, but some people don't mind them. Try and find a choice spot. I am on Johns Island in between the city and the beaches, its more low key here than Mt. Pleasant, but Mt. Pleasant has more stores, food, and businesses. Lots of good food and cool stuff to do around here though, definitely a great spot. Can provide more info if depending on what you're lookin for. Another place I'd check out would be Jacksonville/Jacksonville Beach area....different kinda vibe down there, also a cool spot.

This is easier said than done though. I’m from the San Francisco Bay. I’ve been trying to get out for a while, but I lost my job because of this, and it’s expensive as shit here. I have an interview with a company that will allow me to relocate, but I can’t do it until this is over because there is a flight sim eval I have to do with it. It’s damn near impossible to save enough money to leave this place, even when making close to six figures.

Extra deep cause a group of crows is a murder of crows.

3
CuomoisaMassMurderer 3 points ago +3 / -0

I understand why our Governors are mass murderers. Do you? I don't understand how the left can claim DJT is a murderer. Do you? It just seems like the typical D projection.

1
RiverFenix 1 point ago +1 / -0
  1. they WANT Trump to be a murderer, so they're validated (but he's not)

  2. they project, probably guilt for being an actual murderer in some cases

  3. they're liars and just say it to get under our skin

  4. they're so stupid, they actually believe it.

1
CuomoisaMassMurderer 1 point ago +1 / -0

So believing whatever they want to be true is all they've got? That's the party of sCiEnCe for ya

One of my jobs is essentially laying everyone off on Tuesday. Fortunately I have a second full time job. But Jesus Christ, I’ve got jobs that can be done from home, and I still have no job security.

I'm not a virus denier, pandemics are an actual thing. But the response to this virus is as stupidly hyperbolic as the entire left has been about everything since 2016. I now go to the coronavirus Reddit to collect salt from all these losers who can't keep a cool head in tough times. The curve was flattened, we took time to figure out wtf was even going on, and now we can afford to get back to work. Trump did all the right things.

1
EtheldredaTheUnready 1 point ago +1 / -0

I think they're panic junkies. Modern life is so free of real problems that they leap on every issue as if it's the end of the world. It also gives all the Karens a chance to feel powerful, important, and enlightened while signaling their virtue to the world.

3
slimcoat 3 points ago +3 / -0

This is how a "discussion" with the left always ends up. They are incapable of rational thought or discussion.

3
BoilingEnema 3 points ago +3 / -0

Inconvenient empirical facts are always fun to drop when some cockwit is screeching about muh science.

I had a similar experience to this. My cousin called me a jackass while I was discussing why people can return to work and still maintain social distancing. I was also questioning why my state (Michigan) has a ban on fishing when it's safer for me to fish for food alone instead of going to a busy grocery store.

1
stratocaster_patriot 1 point ago +1 / -0

Everyone believes in science, it's just that most libs who say things like that don't actually understand how science works. I love art but can't paint so me belittling others for not being able to paint would be retarded. It just means I have an opinion too, but the difference is I don't spend my time hunting for millions of social media followers.

Hell, watch the latest episodes of Cosmos and you will see a famous theoretical physicist who clearly doesn't believe in science lol
