People are waiting until near death to go to the doctor. We are going to see a huge uptick in heart disease, diabetes and cancer deaths. No cancer screenings, if someone thinks the might be having a heart attack they are staying home vs. going to the ER just to be safe. They are so scared that if they step foot in the hospital they'll catch the virus and die. The fear-mongering is costing more lives than it's saving.
Agree. The consequences of halting all preventative care for two months (plus more considering the inevitable backlog once/if re-opened) will far outweigh COVID and will last for years.
