Most of them have been laid off at this point. No one seems to be talking about the fact that hospitals nation wide aren’t doing elective procedures and many people are just staying home instead of going to the ER. The parts of hospitals still open is the ER, ICU, and Labor and Delivery.

And me in the psych ward, cray-cray doesn't chill just because of Chairman Xi's Winnie the Flu

My hospital is doing a pretty good job of keeping ACU, OR, and PACU, staff busy, they still do emergency cases, and when they aren't doing that, we got them helping out on the floors that are still open. I read a figure in 2007, it said between recruiting, training, signing bonuses, and all that, it cost about $10k to hire a nurse, so they are doing what they can to keep the ones they already have knowing this will one day be over and it would cost a fortune to rehire all the staff in ACU, OR, and PACU.
