Know who is a hero? Restaurant workers who lost their fucking jobs to MAYBE (probably not) save a few lives. Today if you are still working through this plandemic you are one of the lucky ones. Everybody ELSE is sacrificing.
I see a nurse lose their emotion every day when I work at my unit.
The stuff is really becoming an echochamber here, but every nurse I work with has been phenomenal and against this tikdick horseshit.
And no, there are no bonuses and if you want overtime, you will be taking care of the sickest COVID patients in the now eight (opened up from four) ICUs we have in the hospital.
The majority of people do not see the actual impact this goofyass china flu has on patients, nurses, and healthcare providers.
The impact it has on most healthcare providers is them being forced to take all their PTO and take reduced hours and wages. The numbers aren’t there to support the panic and shutdown, and those are available for everyone.
I don’t think it is that simple. We had to intubate a nurse that caught it. Our PPE - the N95 mask we have to reuse for seven shifts. People (the ones that aren’t doing those dumbass dances) are demoralized and are overwhelmed. The patients are high in acuity and their ratios do not change.
Big impact on people.
After seeing it here, I've taken to asking anyone ranting about how inconsiderate and dumb the protestors are if they're the main source of income in their home and if that income has been interrupted.
Hey now, Sub Teacher here, a lot of teachers I know actually hate this shit. We live in a poorer district and this lockdown only makes our jobs harder because teaching distance is educationally unsustainable.
Not all kids have laptops or phones, and there's also lack of quality control to make sure they are actually learning. It's already hard teaching with poor working conditions, and this is just fucking it even further.

Good point. They didn't sacrifice a thing. They tricked the rest of us into sacrificing everything.

Reddit commies have a broken empathy chip.
They're only ever "empathetic" with other people's money. They get to feel virtuous at no personal cost.

I have three immediate family members who have lost their jobs because they work in the tourism industry.
But nobody cares about the working class, so they're forgotten.
