Yeah, so 14% of total new York has antibodies. That means that the death rate is between 0.5-1.0% and probably lower because they've been way overcounting in NYC. As a young, healthy person I probably have a 1 in 10,000 chance of dying from catching this.

This is a highly contagious virus that really isn't much more deadly than the flu. It's just that no one is immune to it yet because it's new. So trying to "contain" it for any long period of time is insane.

Build healthcare capacity. Protect the elderly and mine compromised. Everybody else needs to take their chances.

Exactly, we are not flattening the curve, we are pushing it further out into the summer. We need to focus on getting back to work with reasonable measures and protect the vulnerable population.

He's got to. Rand Paul did it earlier, now it's Trump's turn. This lockdown shit has got to stop.

It's becoming more and more clear that we absolutely must stop manufacturing a depression in a futile effort to prevent deaths. Not only does it appear have little effect on infection rate, the actual death rate is tiny compared to what the hysterical media keeps pushing. Sweden, of all places, hasn't done a lock down and they're just fine, and will probably be the first western country to get past this mess with herd immunity.

Personally, I don't believe in evolution as the origin of species or in climate change, so I can't say it's the biggest hoax, but it's sure up there.

NYC is technically 8 million or so. Greater metro area might be 19m.
