Spanish social life takes place outside of the home. They have social and athletic clubs, neighborhood bars, church. All that has been taken from them.
They applaud for health care workers from their balconies at 8pm and beat pots and pans in protest at 9pm.
The children haven't been outside for 40 days. On Monday, they're supppsed to be allowed out for a kilometer walk as long as a parent is with them. But the rest of us can go hang until the government decides we can take a walk.
