My mom passed last year but had progressed through various care levels in the years prior. Fortunately I had good facilities on my typical way to work so it was easy to pop in frequently. Her Alzheimer disease made her a particular challenge for her caregivers as she could get suddenly violent if she thought she was being "assaulted" for example during a diaper change.
Folks who haven't had the experience don't recognize how patient, caring, and selfless workers in care homes are. Preserving the dignity of elderly people who find themselves in a very undignified reduced station is a special skill and I saw a lot of it through my mom's care.
My faith leads me to expect that you have all won great accolade in heaven for the selfless work you do. And on behalf of all the residents who are not capable of expressing their thanks - thank you!
God bless you folks.
