Good, this needs to happen more. Cops have an enormous amount of personal discretion to interpret laws as they see fit. In this case, the cop is personally responsible for arresting the lady. He obviously had other options.

With authority comes great responsibility! We the people face massive damages when authority is not used responsibly. In this context, the peaceful protesting should be personal so that other cops may learn from the failures of their colleagues.

I think those are just emotions ("liberty or death" and whatnot). Fortunately our people always seem to have good self control and tend to go the peaceful route if there is one.

Personally all of my interactions with police have been very pleasant and i've never had any complaints against individuals, but at the end of the day i'm an American first, and they should be too. We really shouldn't be on opposing sides anyways. Normal citizens and police officers should be standing together against unjust laws.

I initially came here to say the same thing, however, after reading the comments, I’m torn. This is a problem I notice. A lot of people will attempt to skip over local government and pass blame and responsibility to federal or look below at the frontliners.

Mayors, governors, state senators and AGs need to feel the heat more but they are successfully deflecting anger towards other units. People probably forgot how things are supposed to work and give people a pass when they shouldn't.

The president of the homeowners association here made some pretty stupid decisions that caused a lot of residents to be kept out the gate, but I didn't take it out on the guards.
